Spankinatrix -> ISO Toronto Tour Guide (4/4/2006 9:15:18 PM)

My pet and I will be visiting Toronto for a couple of days in mid june.  I'm seeking a tourguide to show us the best and kinkiest of TO.  Anyone up to the challenge?

Hi Spankinatrix.  Hope you have a good time in Toronto - do you know yet the exact days that you'll be here?  If so, we can keep an eye out for events in that time frame.  Most weekends, there's a coed play party at one club or another.  The gay pride festival is June 19-25, so there should be BDSM events in and around that period - including, for example, a women's bathhouse night that includes an SM room (is your pet a man or woman)?  Other than potential special events, there is a leather bar and a leather gear store in the gay village, as well as an SM bed and breakfast (although the leather bar is mostly a gay male crowd, and I think the B&B might be men only).

Cheers, Fiddlegirl

fiddlegirl - how sweet! i did find one party that is taking place in our time frame, but I would love to reviews of various parties.  My pet is a male, but we're both bi and I am planning to attend the PussyPalace without him.  I didn't know it had an S&M room, though! How exciting!  We should be there starting the night of the 13th of June through the 18th or so.  We'll probably be staying in a hostel in TO during that time.  We're opent to suggestions there, too.  We've been to TO a few times before and visited a few fetish and sex stores (NorthBound, MissBehavin', Priape, Good for Her, Come As You Are, Aslan Leather, etc.) but never happened to be there during an event.  I'm also interested in finding a place with fetishy clothes in larger sizes.  Thanks so much for helping us out!

Off the top of my head...there is FetPhoto and Fetish Masquerade on the 17th, a munch in Etobicoke on the 16th, and likely a munch or two earlier in the week.  Best bet is the EhBC site's calendarOh yes, there is a conference on bisexuality on the weekend of 16, 17, 18 June.

If your budget can stand it, Northbound will do custom sizing of their fashions, as well as the plus sizes that they offer.

Hope you both have a great visit!

I remmember my first time driving through toronto couple of year's back, the first thing that came out of my mouth after 1 hour of driving was "Hey! Where are the canadians?"

Spankinatrix, sounds like you're a lot more in the loop than I am!  How do you know when the Pussy Palace is scheduled?  I've been checking their website, but there's no date for it posted yet.  FYI, I haven't been to Pussy Palace; other kinksters have told me the SM room mostly consists of swings and fisters, but I guess you'd have the place for it if you wanted to do other things.  The only party I have first hand knowledge of is Bent, which is unfortunately out of your time frame.  I've heard that Aslan Leather will also do custom-sized pieces; MissBehavin' advertises that they have sexy lingerie in large sizes (not necessarily kinky outfits).

That is a good calendar, Tasha.  At the last Bent party, I met a TS named Tasha who was handing out door prize tickets - was that you?

Moloch, I think we're going to need more explanation - were you there at 4:30am on a Tuesday or something?  Or do you mean you were surprised by the number of visible minorities and foreign language signage?  Toronto has the highest proportion of immigrants than any other city in the world, and I for one think that rocks.

Alrighty, I'm gonna hop in on this thread for 2 reasons:

I hate the vanilla cone.
I'm new to Toronto and the scene.  HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP!!!!

To paraphrase, if anyone knows a good place to start to get to know people, to kinda get my feet wet, and maybe to experience what the whole thing is about, please feel oh so very free to let me know!

Now back to the people who are actually contributing, not just leeching.

Yours,

benji

PS:  How do I get a signature?

I was surprised by number of immigrants I was expecting a bunch of corny white people in flannel shirts and wood chopping axe over their shoulder with an idiotic smile on their face. [8D]
But no really there were ALOT of immigrants there. id say every other person was an immigrant.

That is a good calendar, Tasha.  It is; I've found that it lists pretty near everything in southern Ontario, as well as farther afield

At the last Bent party, I met a TS named Tasha who was handing out door prize tickets - was that you?  Wasn't me; I've been unable to get out to Bent yet, though I've heard good things about it.
