She literally got away with murder. And now she can apply for a pardon??? Excuse me all to HELL, but this is just crap. Bernardo's never going to get out. OK, he should never get out.

The Canadian justice system needs some re-arranging and fast. Sentencing should be re-evaluated. The fact that if she gets said pardon means that she won't have to report that she has a criminal record is beyond my scope of comprehension.

OMG that scum suckin ditch bag is up for a pardon? yes something stinks big time, that c*** should be dead. And that istn something I say lightly

I just had to post this. And I wholeheartedly agreee with you. There are just some who soooo deserve the damn death penalty. But of course she wouldn't have be considered since it was reduced to manslaughter. The Crown should never have agreed to her terms. Her damn lawyer knew about the hidden tapes. The whole thing was a fiasco from the start.

yep the whole thing was a travesty. She was as bad as him and then some.
While people "who do the crime do the time" are one thing, she didnt do nearly enough for her crimes.and to be pardoned..oh not good at all

It's really scary to read that there's a 99% pardon rate. That's just ridiculous. What's his name gets a pension while he's in prison. Everything is so out of hand it's not even funny anymore.

I think it was last week where the 2 daughters of a police officer slain in the line of duty finally came out (for lack of better wording). Their dad's killer is now eligible for part-time liberty. My dad was an auxiliary for the OPP back in the early 70's. I remember the sleepless nights my mom had until he came home.

Homolka and Bernardo killed her younger sister. If I remember correctly that case was never prosecuted. It came to light that she was exchanging letters with another male prisoner who'd also been convicted of murder. She is a mindless puppet and goes along with whatever's suggested. She's a danger to the community she lives in. And all because she has no frikken conscience.

It completely sickens me to think of her being pardoned and just disappearing, being allowed the same life as everyone else. She belongs behind bars the same as Bernardo.

Things like this are why I still love my country. In many places here, if you kill someone....especially in the way those two did, we will kill you back. Can't apply for a pardon when you're dead.

Nope ya can't. And death is the least of her worries. I'm surprised she's still alive, that no one's exacted retribution. They should let the parents of the 2 teen girls have a go at her. Dull rusty spoon doesn't even begin to cover it.
