Status: offline 		So I figure some of the best discussions on this board arise when someone starts a thread about something really central to *them* as a dominant-something that drives them, motivates them, makes them tick. I'm thinking authentic vulnerability, forced masculinisation, etc...

I also figure that I don't really share that stuff about myself here. And that it's unfair to enjoy reading about everyone else's kicks without really participating in the sharing. So here I go:

What really hits me in the stomach is experiencing a sub's experience of *sensations*. Pain, pleasure, I'm not really fussed (or, rather, I have an equal love for inflicting both, sometimes at once :D). I'm after the flinch. That little clench of the jaw muscles. An indrawn hiss of breath-quite possibly the sexiest sound in the world.

So I don't like gags because they get in the way of my enjoyment, but I love blindfolds because I have yet to encounter a sub who doesn't yell louder when they can't see what's coming. Ipods are the best thing ever-a sub listening to loud music has no *idea* how loud they might be yelling :D 

I like well lit rooms because I want to be able to *see* and I like quiet rooms so I can *hear*-I don't want to miss a thing.

I'm also quite the masochist (and the hedonist) when I'm on my own, and I love the feeling of hurting someone and thinking 'I know exactly how this feels on a physical level, but when I do it I'm doing it for nobody but myself, whereas you're doing it for me'. The contrast between my own masochism and their submission is almost painfully hot.

Actually, it's so hot that I'm stopping there-I don't want this to get too personal/involved.

Thoughts? Similarities/differences with your good selves? Relevant experiences? Irrelevant but nevertheless hot experiences?

Status: offline 		I agree with you that what makes the discussions here sometimes so wonderful is there are people who share deeply and with great honesty!

My play is very interactive and I want someone who gives me lots of feedback in lots of ways, verbally, physically, even emotionally. I love it when I play with someone new and I can sense they are haveing that "what the fuck did he just do to me" because I did some of the same stuff other people have done but done it in such a way as to blow someone away. When they surrender into doing something, enjoying something that might have been a limit or that they were nervous about and suddenly just let go. And of course, tears...when they experience things so intensely that they cry and trust me with that.

Sometimes that is the clear relaxation of a body that was once tense with anxiety, or perhaps that "look" at you that just communicates everything.

Why? I think it's a great topic for everyone... Although after reading the posts from you and Michael... I see how this could turn into a rather "hot" thread.

I love what both of you have said... My kink is that I love that my Dom is is getting pleasure by the sensations he's creating and my responsiveness to what's happening... That's when I know it's ok to let myself go and to not have to think...just experience.

Mainly because people don't tend to do the whole 'this is me on a plate, now let's discuss it' thing on the General board, but it happens pretty regularly on AAMs.

Status: offline 		He's also after the reactions. But gags allow me to relax and not worry about making noise, so I am less stoic, more engaged and more responsive. Perhaps my reactions are moans and not words but they're stronger because of the gag.

Although personally headphones take me out of a good headspace and leave me panicky so we don't use them.

Hmmm that ipod idea is interesting never really thought of it. Although I do tend to try and hold in any yelps or screams of pain that I may be experiencing. I can relate to the the hiss sound you speak of (I'm the one being beaten and its a hot sound to me) so I can only imagine what it must sound like for the one doing the beating.

As far as I can tell (not having tried it from that side myself) listening to music makes it really hard to tell how loud you are yelping/screaming/[insert other yummy noise here]. So it would be hard for you to tell how successfully you were holding them in.

Those words jump out at me. Being able to 'Just experience' is the key to all of my/his pleasure. To live the moment and to liberate the energy.
There may be blindfolds, it may be public, it maybe with our eyes locked onto each other in a silent room. So long as its about the here and now and its focused on energy rather than structure, then its all about reconnecting ourselves.

Which is also why I don't enjoy the stoic type of sub who tries to take it all unmoving and silently, that's a total killjoy for Me. Let Me see you writhe, hear you moan, that sudden intake of breath I concur is utterly awesome!

As a sub i am very responsive and Master loves that too. He likes to use my responses to read me as well as to please Himself. Though it did take Him a bit of time to get used to my going off into fits of laughter on my way into subspace!

I want it when I take off the top I was wearing over my corset to keep it decent in public. I want it when I take down my hair. I want it when I run my nails down his back, I want it when I hit him with a paddle, and I want it when I lick the curve of his ear. I want it when I run a knife along his lips, when I crack the singletail, when I bite the inside of his thigh.  The pain is fun. The reactions are what I really care about. I don't like playing with stoics.

Status: offline 		From the submissive and (in a sense) masochistic side of things, I'm a bit of a connoisseur of sensations. Even the unpleasant ones are generally at least interesting. And one of the most fascinating things about pain is that it comes in so many different varieties - maybe a tribe of sadomasochists that had been isolated for generations would have completely distinct words for the pain of being smacked with a strap or flogger versus the pain of being pinched, or bitten, or slowly spattered with hot wax, or whatever. I suppose English does this a little bit with terms like sting and ache (and there's nothing sexier in my opinion than being made to ache by a sadist), but they're not terribly precise.

Being able to look into a dominant's eyes and know that she's experienced whatever she's doing to me, at least at a physical level, does add something to the experience. And the trick with the iPod just sounds diabolical - I would hate (in a good way) to not even know how much noise I was making.

Status: offline 		I like the whole bit of it: planning, plotting, doing, seeing.

I love blindfolds but I prefer no gags. I want to hear him. Thing is, I like talking, and people making noises. If he enjoyes something and wants more, or something I did makes him swear in surprise, I want to hear it. Words and noises popping out of someone's mouth is just as good for me as a flinch, and if I ask a question I can get an immediate response. Then again, there are times when the gag is just as good. I like restraints but other times when it's safe I like leaving limbs free so that I can see that move to try to avoid something, just so I can correct it (okay, that's mean, but it is also fun!).

But, other sensations: I like using things that might not necessarily be part of a kit, y'know? Like brushes or sponges, things with different texture. It could be the rougher side of a sponge, which, if you don't know what it is feels like someone's shredding your skin even if it's harmless, because it gives the 'WTF was that?!' response. There's also the hot and cold, and not knowing where the touch will be next.

Instead of the iPod, I might use earplugs. There's less chance of someone being distracted, and with earplugs you can also hear yourself.
