Neither rain nor hail or a 4-hour drive could have kept me from meeting Eroticmind for lunch in Fresno today. After 6 months of emails, daily phone calls and IM's, i was finally going to meet Him face to face. I had been ready to meet Him months ago but i waited patiently for Him to reach the same conclusion. He was right with his decision to wait. Our initial contact had been mainly sexually charged in nature. Over time, this subsided giving us the opportunity to become friends. As such, my only expectation for the day: Lunch with a Friend.
As neither of us was familiar with Fresno (a half way point between us), he had researched restaurants and left the final decision to me. It wasn't hard to make a choice once i read, "Dim and intimate, this casual, yet upscale place..." (I said the sexual charge had subsided, not died [:)]).
Lunch was fantastic, the company even better. Three hours passed as if it were only a matter of minutes. When we finally left the restaurant, we were greeted with sunshine for the first time that day. As luck had it, the sun was not meant to last. As he walked me to my car, a new downpour began. The few quick kisses i was able to steal before getting into my car, left me wet...literally.
Continual rain, three hail storms and four hours later found me home. I was greeted with an email that read in part..."If anybody should ever ask you if it would be worth driving 7.5 hours round trip in torrential rain on freeways partially closed due to flooding just for a kiss from you, you can answer 'yes' ".
I definitely see the opportunity for some play time in the near future...beyond that, hmmm, I guess time will tell.
