Infowars Journalist Arrested, Held for Asking Karl Rove a Question During UT Appearance
Update: We are on our way to pick up Aaron Time stamp 2:35 am CST. Aaron waited until it was question time and rather that sit through the pre-selected controlled media questions. Aaron wanted to know about the Downing Street Memo and how it proves the administration knew that Sadam was not a threat and there was no reason to go to war with a country that was not attacking us. But that would go against Karl’s revisionist history. So he told Aaron to Shut up and sit down. Aaron was arrested and charged with “Disrupting a meeting or precession” Campus Police made the arrest/snip

Dreadful.

My kin? No, not unless the Co-operative have opened up a chain in Iraq and the staff there have started selling death instead of groceries.

Notice how both Bush and Obama kill Iraqi Arabs?

Both the left and the right.

Arab is short for Arabia.

What did you think the war was suddenly going to end? Change the politician change the mess?

I don't believe in the war on terror, it's a nonsense and a complete misunderstanding of the underlying problem. There is no them and us, there is only fear and paranoia. People can be manipulated quite easily on either side of a war.

The whole War of Terror is a fraud.

He who lives by the sword- dies by the sword.     That means us.

In terms of party structure, tactics, and discipline -- the RNP ironically resembles a communist party.

Just out of idle curiosity... what is the real problem?

The real problem ? The real problem is that none of these MF will answer, nor answer to we the people who foolishly elected them or their appointers. Wonder if I should've used the word annointers there.

There is no such thing as a true Q&A session with any of them, and anyone who asks a question that has not been approved shall be removed. The truth will no longer set you free.

Any other questions ?

It's like any other form of criminality, nothing to get all flustered about.

Treating it as some kind of special circumstance is not going to help anyone beat terror, it's like a virus feeding off of your reaction to it. The government by doing what it does isn't actually saying 'don't be afraid' it's saying 'be afraid for now so that we can fix it'. Meanwhile watch your freedoms vanish one by one i.e. giving the supposed terrorists exactly what they want (a society like they have).

Do governments actually realise that they are playing into these people's hands and legitimising their fight by doing this?

Iraq had no association with terrorism so that couldn't have been about terror, Afghanistan used to be about terrorism by now it seems to be about people being able to say who their town elder is. (Vote for the town member you want to age to become town elder, no anti aging skin cream for them).

The underlying problem is resentment and injustice, the world is unfair you can't make it fair but you can stop making it seem as unfair as it is. All you have to do is leave people alone and then watch them try and keep finding reasons to hate you.

"All you have to do is leave people alone and then watch them try and keep finding reasons to hate you. "

That would be worth a try really. Back in the 1940s.

The present isn't the past and so people should stop thinking the past holds all the answers.

There are an infinite number of possibilities as to how history could have turned out if other decisions were made. It is the height of human arrogance to think the next number of random events will be predicated by those decisions or events that have already occurred because we humans think we can see a pattern in them we've seen before. You spot a pattern and you are right, somebody else spots a different pattern and they are wrong; how does that work?

Different times, different places. Variables include things such as culture, the structure of the enemy, their desires. I know there is that saying 'Those that don't learn from history are destined to repeat it' but that's a saying not a scientific fact. It's never been proven that failure to learn from history will mean history will recreate itself.

First you have to identify what the key factors are as to how history turned out before you can pretend to learn from it. I doubt anyone knows what the factors are because they see things from their individual vantage point. One person is right by luck and the other billion that guess are wrong.

Although there is this extra element in terms of collective human ignorance; in that we think we know why things turned out as they did because history scholars tell us and we don't question that their account is based on the accounts of others and those others are no scholars. If I keep a diary and somebody finds it in a billion years will it hold the truth? Will time make my account of the present as I see it any more accurate? We say things like 'oh they know because they were there' because we've never personally misinterpreted an occurrence in the present?
