FR:

In general I agree with the court.

Tho state wire tap issues could be in question here.

I agree with this. It's a tough one, but at the end of the day I think I'd fall on the side of making the possession of the film illegal - if only on the grounds that if something is illegal to produce in the first place, there should be no legal right to own it.

Should footage of the Nazi concentration camps be illegal?

The definition of stupid is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.

It truly, truly saddens me that people put their 'right' to 'talk' over the right of other animals to live cruelty free lives.
But worse, what scares me more than anything is the complete and utter stupidity and fanaticism displayed by certain posters about this.
Reading some of the replies all I can think is, fuck, these guys are only half a step behind jihadists in their fanaticism. Very scary stuff.
What on earth has happened to decency, intelligence, commonsense and just plain old right and wrong?

With that being said, I am out of this thread.
I will leave you little jihad joes alone.

[8|] That has nothing to do with the issue. Animal cruelty is illegal, this law doesn't change that and If you read the article you would have noticed that the Chief Justice didn't have an issue with a law that would stop crush videos.

The issue is that like some other laws passed during the Bush era, this law is obscenely vague. I wonder if the Dog Whisperer episode I watched the other day that used hidden cameras to expose the cruelty of puppy mills was technically illegal....

Hmm.... I should be able to think of a quick answer to that, but at the moment it escapes me. I think I'm too distracted watching the NFL draft. Good question, though, and I'll have to think about it.

Good riddance. I'm perfectly ok with abortion into the third trimester because of how I value the soveriegnty of an individual over their own body, you think I'll flush free speech because a guinea pig might get hurt?
