ive not been named or collared but i am now owned for the first time. i am happy....to belong is a helluva feeling....to see Him smile while he play tortured me with toys was AWESOME! i am trying to not let my feet off the ground but i feel like im flying.
any advice for a newbie regarding hope/expectations?
im signing on as slave....i dont think im spose to have any expectations per se.....but looks like i made Him happy today as well. ty for your advice

From my perspective, it's way too easy to get so caught up in the rush of a new master/slave dynamic that we forget that it isn't all play torture and endorphin rushes all the time. yes having that feeling of being owned by another is a heady rush yet that also can apply to us who identify as submissive and found that the slave dynamic was too intense or more than what we bargained for. Once the newness of this has passed and the full reality has set in then you will know better if a slave dynamic is what you actually seek or not.

I don't know how long you've been doing this but you said "virgin" voyage, so regardless of time, that means first time, right?

Its a lot to go from zero to slave first time out... not sure how much clearer I can make that. You're not collared and not a slave, right? But you're owned? What does that mean? Funnily enough.. my boy is my boy.. she's collared.. not a slave... and she's not really owned.. we've been together for more than a year now and we've a combined 22+ years of experience... not that any of it matters.. but I would love to know what owned means when you're not collared or a slave...

just be careful.. take things slowly... you're new...

My simple answer is I am OK to have hope, but not OK to have self-built expectations.

If I am told I am to expect something, it is hard not to, however, that doesn't mean I will automatically get it. Sometimes the mind fuck is the goal he is trying to achieve.

All that said, I am sure there are many that would disagree with me and I am not in your relationship, so I would suggest you talk to your man about it and see where he stands on the subject.

I totally agree that the feeling of being owned is awwsome. You are new to this so maybe you should try being submissive before jumping headfirst into being a slave. if you find it is truely waht ypou are you can always become one in the future. I am happy for you that you found a Dom. Like others said just slow down, if you two are menat for each other slowinf down should not hurt anything. If he dose not want to slow dawn after you said something that is a red flag. Just be careful and have fun.

Being owned doesn't mean your brain fell out your ear. Use it.
