we have an ecclectic bunch here, so im hopeful...., im a pagan and learning stuff all the time. last night in my wood i picked up a pulse that wasnt mine, so strong it actually had me swaying to it. i just went with it as you do. when i got home i checked on the net. trees have pulses, who knew!! - well, i didnt. the oak for instance sends a pulse through to mars, other trees send pulses to different planets, i find this so incredible. oh and this is a scientific finding, there were graphs and all sorts showing the pulses picked up - so its not some airy fairy concept, it has actually been found and proven. so, im wondering has anyone heard of this and can they point me to any sites on the net that can inform me better on this. i did a bit of a search but couldnt find much. thank you xx

That is spiritual, not pagan. If you can pick that up, then you know more than whatever you can find in a book or on the web. Do your own research and write your own book.

I wouldn't even call it spiritual, let alone pagan. Anything with some sort of system will have a 'pulse'. Trees breathe just like any other living organism. It's nature, not spiritual or religious. Today is Earth day and it's in it's 40th year so in that sense, this is a brilliant question and timed fantastically. the.dark.

i agree that everything has a pulse, but not in the systemic sense that we have a pulse - there is no heart or circulatory system. the pulse that went through me last night, sitting on the bank was a strong deep pulse that literally rocked my body back and forth - its happened before but ive never before thought about until i found that website. Rule, the trouble is that i dont know, i can feel and experience, but i dont always understand what im feeling or experiencing. i do know that it was part of a learning process that led me to discover the connection between trees and planets and that the energy they omit is sent through our atmosphere and out into space - my mind is boggling at this. the oak for instance is connected to mars and the moon. each spiecies is connected to its own planet - how phucking incredible is that!!

Some plants do have circulatory systems. Check out vascular and non vascular plants. Trees are part of this group. the.dark.

Nutrients going through by a different system called photosynthesis but provided by the pressure/nutrient laden water from root to leaf, like a stacking system. as the moisture drips from the leaf it creates an irresistable pull for the next droplet lined up to step forward and drip out - my old biology classes came back to me. i would imagine though that the circulatory system doesnt create a pulse, its more a constant pressure. for there to be a pulse there needs to be a rythmic heart to push it - lub dub and all that. the pulse i felt came through as i meditated - i became aware that i was rocking to it. when i gave into it and went limp it was so strong it actually rocked my body back and forth. it was oddly horny too [:)] but this is to do with trees and planets, has anyone got any info on this. so whats this 'earth day' - ill have to go and check that out now too [:)]

A good experiment to do is cutting a plant (obviously if you don't think they will hurt or mind - and I am not being facisious when I say that - because I personally totally believe that plants 'feel injury'). Some plants weep (as in the sap) some pulse. If it weeps, it will be constant and then dry out. If it's 'pulsing', the sap will not dry out until it 'clots'. Yeah it's not the same as blood persay, but they do work in a similar way. It's the way that plants are placed into specific groups. Plants emit electrical impulses in reaction to different stimuli - there is nothing silly in believing you can feel a pulsation. Some people can just pick up on them more than others - many people have just 'switched off' from lot's of abilities. I read once about trees communicating using waves. That the when one is cut down, surrounding trees emit an pulse or rather 'wave' that was slower than an electrical pulse. I will try and dig that out but it's been a few years. oh, sorry, i didnt see that thread - ill find it. interesting about the pulse, ive never heard of it before and id like to think it was me picking up on the trees, that so cool! do you remember the tomato plant experiment. they had a guy walk into a greenhouse full of tomato plants and torch one of them. all the plants were wired up for frequency reactions and they all reacted violently to their neighbour being torched. makes you wonder what the energy fall out is like in the amazon and such like. also makes you think, if trees are connected to planets and we keep chopping down trees, how thats going to affect the planet in the long run. anyhoo, thanks for youre help in this, i really appreciate it xx

I believe the 'w' stands for wood, because it was first mapped from trees. But it rings a bell with the tomato plants also. I was working on my plants at the weekend repotting. I do find that when I am working, I get a far better yield and stronger plants if I work on them all within close proximity and treat them all equally. I haven't read any research on it, but it's amazing how some people can increase the productivity of their plants, where as others who just have one or two on a shelf only have much weaker plants. I notice it with orchids too. I had a huge collection a few years back, but my ex completely destroyed one (totally by accident) but with that, they all perished one by one and when I came back, I had lost the entire lot. I have just started collecting orchids again and they are all really beautiful and strong... one is on it's 4th year of flower. The more I purchase or cultivate, the stronger they thrive, but they enjoy being in the same room and in close contact,so there must be something to the whole group thing. They just wilt when I put them in seperate rooms. the.dark.

Lally this is something that really intrigues me... I´m not one who believes in a "God" concept but feel strongly that all things are connected. I´ve experienced what you were feeling on several occasions... a deep connection and ability to feel the things around you. So many of us live in places where there is so much interference of our ability to connect with the world around us... there is nothing so soothing as disappearing into the wilderness, by yourself, for a few days to get those feelings of being connected to something that is so much greater then what we experience on a daily basis. There are studies being done now on "the Electric Universe" they´re looking at these gigantic streams of electricity found through out space... our brains, thoughts, feelings and emotions are a series of electrical impulses that I believe ties us to everything. In the recent film Avatar... there was a line used that sums it up for me "Power is something we borrow and at some point has to be returned". To me out life force is something that is borrowed from the universe and when our bodies die that power is returned. I don´t know if these concepts make sense to anyone but me... [:D]

im begining to feel that death as we perceive it doesnt really exist. the planet and energy that we are part of is a collective energy and we are part of that energy, when our material body dies the energy that exists in us i think returns to the collective energy. im not sure why this belief keeps going around in my head. partly its because this planets premis is for life, its energy for life is enormous, it has no investment in death, other than to return matter to the soil, but the energy inside of us and everything else is an investment, a collective of this Life energy. we are part of that energy, part of the life thats part of that energy. tapping into that energy and the energies that fill that energy - i dont really understand it, its just a vague idea that keeps being reinforced the more i try to understand. i meant to go and see avatar - ill have to get the cd.

If plants are happy and healthy and you tend them, it is a huge happy vibe going on. Gardening can be very theraputic. It's like the company of animals. They can be very empathic. Plants are similar, particularly when you are nurturing them and helping them to grow - they return in kind. the.dark.

I love nothing more than being alone in a forest and just feeling the earth and life around me. The same way it never ceases to amaze me when I walk bare foot on a cold and horrid day, yet I can feel the warmth emanating from the earth. She is alive, and we need to take care of her.
