Brain -> Poll Finds More Confusion Than Anger Over New Health Law (4/23/2010 1:47:01 AM)

Does this mean Republicans are going to take a big loss in November? Poll Finds More Confusion Than Anger Over New Health Law
Think those frustrated tea partiers you hear so much about in the media represent most Americans' views on the new health reform law? Think again. The first Kaiser Health Tracking Poll released since health overhaul became law shows that most people are confused -- not angry. In the poll, 55 percent said they are "confused" about what the law does, and just 30 percent described themselves as "angry." Of those who reported that they feel unfavorably about the law, 61 percent reported feeling "confused," too. Just 44 percent of those who reported they liked the bill said they were confused. That 30 percent -- the "angry" group -- who said they didn't like the law were nearly evenly split over why they didn't like it.  Nine percent said they did not like the way the process worked, 7 percent said they did not like the final content, and 12 percent disliked both, according to the poll. http://www.npr.org/blogs/health/2010/04/kaiser_poll_finds_more_confusi.html

It's sub clause 15.1.5.6a I have a problem with:

"All amputated body parts and or organs are the sole property of the government."

When does government ownership of said body parts begin?

Brain -> RE: Poll Finds More Confusion Than Anger Over New Health Law (4/23/2010 5:52:50 PM)

I just don't believe that is true and you did not provide a link to prove your claim. In fact, you are contributing to the confusion, probably deliberately.

SohCahToa -> RE: Poll Finds More Confusion Than Anger Over New Health Law (4/24/2010 12:44:08 PM)

No it's true, also subsection 251.6.8.1 states

"All aborted foetuses will be sold to KFC for inclusion in family sized buckets."

cuckyman -> RE: Poll Finds More Confusion Than Anger Over New Health Law (4/24/2010 12:46:40 PM)

Well, of course people are confused about the bill - Glen Beck, Sarah Palin, and their buddies made sure of that.

How about the horse's mouth?

quote:

President Barack Obama's healthcare overhaul law is getting a mixed verdict in the first comprehensive look by neutral experts: More Americans will be covered, but costs are also going up.

Economic experts at the Health and Human Services Department concluded in a report that the healthcare remake will achieve Obama's aim of expanding health insurance — adding 34 million to the coverage rolls.

But the analysis also found that the law falls short of the president's twin goal of controlling runaway costs, raising projected spending by about 1 percent over 10 years. That increase could get bigger, since Medicare cuts in the law may be unrealistic and unsustainable, the report warned.

It's a worrisome assessment for Democrats.

In particular, concerns about Medicare could become a major political liability in the midterm elections.

Not Glenn Beck or Sarah Palin

What horses mouth, rob. Suggesting Obama said those things?

Dont think the chantes of death panels and killing grandma didnt have anything to do with the confusion and upset?

Think the lies about bringing displaced citizens from foreign countries to the US to live for free had nothing to do with the Hutaree incident?

pull your head out of.... the sand, rob. To be honest, there is enough wrong with this law that they dont need to make up lies. What they do need to do is actually read it.. which none of them have.

And NewsMax? really rob? you couldnt find a better source than that? i wouldnt trust that site on the financial information any more than i would their news.

The confusion is purposefully created by the government.
The "economic experts" seem to have difficulties with 4th grade math. About 40 million Americans (1 out of 8) survive on food stamps. They can not afford any health insurance. How can the cost not go up? I have no problems with taxpayers supporting health services for those who can not afford it but why the government creates confusion?

It doesn't take a PhD to comprehend that if Obama, Pelosi, Reid et al had made the bill clear to people in the first place Glen Beck, Sarah Palin et al wouldn't have been able to confuse people. Of course, lefties are too intelligent to comprehend common-sense logic.

How much clearer could they have made it?

It's just hard to get through to people when they are listening to idiots like Beck and Palin babbling on about socialism and death panels.

You apparently missed the "© Copyright 2010 The Associated Press. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten or redistributed. " part, so here's the
Yahoo news link,
USA Today,
NY Daley News,
and the NY Times. links.

So are all these papers who ran the AP story "stretching the truth" too?

Thanks for playin'...
