It's not just this poll which confuzzles me here, but the entire concept of getting all upset and emotional over other people using this site who do not directly relate to us, whether it's scammers, people who view us, messages we receive, etc.
Think about this for a minute. Yes different people view us, and different people message us and try to get to know us. But you know you walk outside your front door into the street and different people look at us when we're out in public everywhere we go.
OMG! A man with a big red nose looked at me today as I walked down the street. This woman with massive knockers stared at me at the bus stop! As for the man with the shiny bald head in the supermarket...
It's also nice to be assumed to be a scammer by an American just because I'm not in the United States.
My interest in people in this site lies with those who are either in my life in some way or who have a valid reason for wanting to become a part of my life. I don't have much time, energy or motivation to be interested in anyone beyond this.
I know that much of the attention I receive from others may not be the sort of attention I'm looking for and I'm okay with that. There's not much I can do about that other than hiding my profile or deleting it. I have contacted people who weren't interested in having contact with me and that's fine too. I'm not here to be famous, well-known, popular or even liked by a number of other people.
And if not being an American in the States makes me a scammer I'm okay with that too. Assume what you like. It doesn't make any difference to me.
I know who I am, so do the people who know me. The rest is immaterial and to me, not worth bothering about. And besides....
...a cat can look at a Queen.
