A freak of nature recently caused me to lock myself out of the car. ::that's my story and I'm sticking to it:: We have auto door locks and as usual, I pushed the button to lock the doors when I stepped out. It was bitter cold and very windy, so I set my purse on the front seat, with the keys in them, so I could put my coat on. Taking a step back from the door, the wind choose that moment to bluster and push the door 'just' closed. Since my purse was in the car and my cell phone was in my purse with the keys, I was rather stuck. I had to go into the store and, having zero money on me ::also in my purse:: and use the payphone to call Himself collect. His first reaction was.. along the lines of, you need to pay attention to what you're doing, how did you lock the keys in etc. He caught a cab and I waited in front of the store. This was in the middle of his work day and his first words to me.. "Do you know how much trouble you're in?" My response, of course was.. "None, Sir!" That took him somewhat aback and he asked me if I could explain to him how I figured I was in 'no' trouble. "I'm a damsel in distress. You are my Knight in Shining Armor who's come to rescue me. It's the job of the Knight to save the damsel, so how can I possibly be in trouble?" He agreed.. and we lived happily ever after. ::chuckles:: Celeste
