I originally posted about this elsewhere, but it seems to have gotten buried.

I am with Tmobile, and thinking about upgrading to a phone that has a touchscreen and internet capability.

Right now, I'm leaning towards the Samsung Highlight.

Any advice/recommendations?

I just changed to a touchscreen/web capable phone yesterday.  I like the phone (htc touch pro2 ) but it's heavy! I wanted a regular keyboard to text with. What I've figured out on the phone so far, I like.

I use Tmobile and have had the Motorola Cliq since November.  It's my first touchscreen phone, and I like it pretty well.  It is larger and heavier than any phone I've had before.  It's convenient to have internet access wherever I go.  The screen will freeze up temporarily sometimes, that can be annoying.  Overall I think it's a good phone.

I've had good luck with Samsung phones.  I accidentally put one through the washer and dryer with a load of clothes, and it still worked fine.  My daughter has the Samsung Behold and she likes it a lot.

Personally wouldnt have a touch screen, tried my sons, who admittedly ended up collapsed laughing, as i was so inept he thought i was about to phone Mars

Said offspring is insisting i cant choose my own next phone as im incompetent. Me thinks i'm going to prove him wrong, or at least fib when i get it wrong.

I have ATT and am trying to figure out what phone to get for the past 2 years lol. Its irritating to me that most of the phones now REQUIRE a data package of like $30 a month, hell i don't even pay 20 for my internet service. I also don't use the internet on my phone -- pretty much everywhere i go lol i have the internet access capability so it was always silly to pay for it on my phone.

But due to this REQUIREMENT grrrrr, i have resisted getting a new phone but my poor razor is tired lol after going on 4 years. I am also looking for good advise on touch phones or the full keyboard ones. So thanks for the info.

I am tempted to simply get an iphone and say screw it lol.
