Statistically, for most humans, sexual plumbing isn't complicated. But 'gender' is, I'll agree there.

For people who are intersexed or have a constant need to be the opposite sex, that's one thing. But... The people and the psychodrama described in the op sounds a little different.

'Gender' is anything you want it or don't want it to be. You can play with it in a scene, but that doesn't make you female when you're a male, or male when you're a female. You can be dominant or submissive, though. That doesn't hinge on sex chromosomes, which aren't (btw) suffering an epidemic of sex issues.

Dealt with this once, not sure anyone will like my methods but this is what I did.

The greatest tool I have at my disposal is my time.
You waste my time and I become less interested in spending it with you again.

I never walked away without this discussion and it's potential outcomes firmly planted firmly in place.
If you are dealing with an adult with the ability to make adult decisions, then this is the only discussion to have.
If you aren't then shame on you for trying to deal with someone who isnt mature enough to cope with the repercussions of adult decisions.

I have a friend that is TG - and she attends a group therapy for TG's. This might be something the OP's girl might benefit from.

You do need to be careful with her. Sometimes early stages of transition can be messy. Personally, I'd just recommend a lot of hugs and love.
Tsroadmap.com is a good website. I'm not that impressed with a lot of the "forced feminization" stuff myself. Personally it always seemed like a "crossdresser fetish to me".
I knew I was a woman from the beginning. Not "thought".KNEW. I effected the appropriate changes..

Definitely seek out help with or for her, yes. I do see how you helping her in this manner can get her where she needs to go and it's great that you can. However, input from pros would be great! Perhaps someone you can both see or where it's okay that you sit in on at least some sessions.

Also, lots of transpeople are on youtube and share their stories and experiences. It can be very empowering for transpeople to hear and see others in the same situation. I can provide some links if you are interested.

You may want to stop intentionally dragging up every thread you can find on the gender issue. This thread was dormant for three and a half months until you pulled it up. If you feel you have information to pass on, why not start a new thread rather than drag up old ones from folks who aren't here anymore?
