Bush was very liberal, so there wasn't a whole lot for the Dems to obstruct. Bush spent all the money we didn't have that they wanted to spend, he carried Clinton's mantle of overthrowing Iraq that the Dems carried right up until we actually followed through with it...

Why, then, did he keep insisting he was implementing a Conservative agenda?

And why, if he wasn't, weren't Conservatives bitching about it and working to stop it? Where was the Tea Party in 2001?

You're far off base on Clinton, where the policy of containment continued. Bush's neo-cons were the ones hot for Iraq.

A policy, incidentally, Obama opposed, even as others in his party supported it.

And it was the huge government bailouts that spawned the Tea Party movement, we've had this discussion several times already. No conservatives liked Bush's deficits, and Obama doubling down on big government combined with the economic"crisis" was the final straw.

While I have no opinion in particular (I'm not the biggest fan of the former prez), I do note that the captain has turned off the "Do not mock your president" sign.

drug addiction is a fickle thing. At least from the comments I have read on CM. For example. If you are a liberal and you have used drugs in the past, you are considered a recovering addict and we feel bad for you. After all everyone knows how hard addictions are to over come and we should help these people through it. If you are conservative and you have used drugs in the past, you are a loser drug addict and you will never change your ways.

See how easy that is.
