Do you envy those here bold enough to show their picture and even their 'nekked bodies (and if caught, what would you do/say)? My story ... A few months ago, a friend-of-a-friend from another professional group recognized my picture on Collarme, and when it got back to me via my close friend, I was embarrassed and, unfortunately, against my Catholic grain, forced into a patent lie while uncomfortably pretending to be outraged that someone "stole" my picture (I hope I dost'ed not protest too much!). My portrait picture was soon removed (after I waited a discreet couple of days); later I had personally explained to the distant coworker as I spied her at a large comms meeting that I had demanded collarme admins remove my photo... and they did ... so I thanked her for her keen observation. I haven't spoken to her since that one event but I was sufficiently cowed professionally that I vowed to remove all photos of me on the Internet in compromising situations. My question is mostly for others who are forced NOT to show a picture ... don't you envy (in a good way) those here who can show not only their faces but, in some instances, some damn near sexy body poses? Curious, Pompeii BTW ... I didn't really know her, so I stayed out of the "and why were you there" and, well, she wasn't at all my type (too tall and large & domineering for my tastes, based on the little I knew about her and the one conversation I had with her).

I'm with you on the very last part personally. If she was here, well... yeah. [:D] Maybe not your type, but, she probably didn't want to be terribly out in the open like that about it any more than you did. Me? Hell, almost everyone I know, knows about this anyway. shrug

One of my close friends on here can't show her face in her profile due to the fact that she works at a VERY strict religious school. On the one hand, she appreciates the anonymity and the fact that she doesn't get as many useless emails from people she doesn't want to talk to, but on the other hand, she is a bit envious of those of us who can put pictures up. For me, the worst thing that could happen if my pictures were found would be mild embarrassment. Most of the people I am close with know my proclivities, and they know the nature of my relationship.

I guess I just can't imagine someone stumbling across my photo that isn't here for reasons similar to mine. I mean, how many people come here to find blackmail photos of someone they know? How does someone get to CollarMe without looking for BDSM in some form? Perhaps it's terribly naive of me, but if someone were to approach me about having recognized my photo... I would either blow it off as unimportant (for folks I don't want to discuss my personal life with) or end up having an interesting conversation. I don't use names or email addresses professionally that will cross over to my private life -- I've known companies to Google their employees. Other than that, I'm pretty open.

I clean up computers for a living. I don't want to alarm you but hell.. I have even seen this site and others like it showing up on the computers of minors. People snoop. People enjoy vicarious thrills. People are curious. And people accidentally type in the wrong address. I have met "masters" who are kids. I have viewed personal images of some underagers who list themselves as submissive. I have a upper face shot on my profile that has been altered. If you met me face to face you would be able to tell it is me, but I doubt it would occur to you if you came across this image casually. I don't envy people who can put up full face, full body shots. From my point of view that is dumb because anyone can pick it up and put it in their own profiles, web pages, ect and claim it is them. I feel the world has too much data on us all and I don't want to contribute to that six degrees of separation between me and identity theft.

I don't have any need to hide my pic. I've shown my face on here many times. I've had people around my work and friends recognize me on here and I've been honest with them. I tell them yes it's me and that I hope they're enjoying their time on C.com and if they ever want to talk or get together, feel free to look me up. It's not a big deal to me. There are times it's been uncomfortable only because I've had a few strange men at work stalk me at work and I finally had to approach them and ask them to stop because I wasn't interested. Did you ask her what she was doing on c.com???

i used to have a pic of myself as my avatar, frankly i just got sick of looking at myself and changed it. but since removing my face from my avatar i feel a bit more comfortable. i do have pics of myself on my profile but since my avatar picture is so anonymous i dont reckon theres too much risk of anyone accidentally bumping into my profile and if they did, well, why??? i dont feel jealous, never really thought about it - most people use anonymous avatars anyway

Nope, I don't envy it one bit. Anyone CAN put their face (or more private spots) out there for the world to see. I'm not sure it's wise in many cases. Being ABLE to do it and it being a great idea are two different things. Some people say they have nothing to hide and they broadcast the most intimate of details. Fine for them but, do I envy it? Not quite. One can always choose to share photos or more information as one gets to know others. Splashing everything right out there for the world to surf by and see just doesn't make a lot of sense to/for me...............luci

Can't say. I don't care if I am found out. Say even at work they get my pics wearing ,,,, errr things, so what ? Am I fired ? Hell no. I envy no one, and I have been often been spotted by people I know, who always say it only goes to confirm their suspicions. I am very open about my sexuality and spent far too long apologising for myself before I got old enough not to care. The profile pictures that do my head in are the ones with cumshots all over them, including on their tongue when they blather on about safe sex in their text. If I run into them, they're not drinking out of one of my cups.

Like many of the others, I envy no one, least of all because they do or do not put pics up on CM. I have face pics up and a full body pic, none of which actually 'show' anything. And regardless of my face being shown or not, I like to think I am not so declasse, as to need or want to put sexaully explicit pics up. No pussy dripping cum shots from me. As for family and friends, well, they either love and accept me as I am, or not, that is their choice and not one I can influence. But I am not going to lie about something that is a huge part of my life, to those who are meant to be nearest and dearest to me. As far as others go, they aren't really on my list of give a shit.
