Oh my WOW!!! Stella the sneaky, had inside information and I have to tell you all how much I appreciate this... I guess I have 'arrived'![:D]
Forgive my crazy babbling, going on day 3 of very little sleep due to a surprise of unexpected house guests. Combine that with 12 hour work days and entertaining the house guests but also the people that want to stop out each evening to see them and catch up, eat dinner that I am trying to cook for unknown number, and my regular rural chores........I am operating on 4-5 hours of sleep. Kinda silly punch drunk feeling here. I tend to avoid the sappy stuff, mostly because I really suck at it. I don’t easily write mushy stuff, I almost never give cards, I suck at remembering other people’s special days. In large part because it feels contrived, false, when I attempt it. My affection and caring have always been expressed through physical actions and deeds much more so than words. Because of that, I feel that the people that only know me through my words, have a very limited idea of who I am, what I am about, and have very little attachment to me. I understand why and accept that. Then, when someone does something like this, I am taken aback. Thank you all for being a part of what has already made this day special to me!
