I think most people are oblivious to the amount of work and time proofreading and editing really takes when you want to do it right.
Just the editing of that post took me a little over half an hour. Now part of that was because I had to find a format that would work for the CollarMe board, working in Word is a lot easier, but still most of the work was because of the careless attitude and writing style with which the OP constructed his post.

And even though I re-read my revision several times before posting, now, only a couple hours later, I can still find at least half a dozen things I overlooked on the first go. Too many beginning authors write on the fly, figuring that they can correct and edit later, which is really the wrong way to go about writing.
Sure, you need to find a style which enables you to put your thoughts on paper, but at the same time, a little more attention to detail when writing a first draft can save a ton of work later.

Seeking female bottom who is an avid reader of the romance/erotic fiction genre, to help proofread, edit, and possibly collaberate on erotic romance novel. I seek a woman's perspective.

This will be a medium term relationship (6 months perhaps) during the finishing of the book. I have 90,000 words written; a typical novel is 120-180k words.

I prefer someone sweet, sensual and affectionately natured, with excellent written communication skills in english, and is or was at least slightly involved in the BDSM community. Can not tolerate gregarious, outspoken or opinionated. If you are in a bound relationship, you must have your Master/partner's permission.

Must have time available to put toward this project. If collaboration or editing is provided and book is published, a compensation agreement will be arranged.

Contact will be primarily by email. If personal meeting is mutually desired, it will be at a local munch or perhaps BDSM Club... however please note, it will be as spectator only. This is not a "play" relationship.

If interested, tell me a little about yourself, your submissive knowledge, your relationship situation, and why you think you will be a help to me.

You misspelled collaborate. Just saying. [;)].

I don't think this turned out the way the OP expected.

i don't know whether i'm qualified as an proofreader. i also don't know if i have sufficient time to devote to the project. How many hours per week would it be? But Your proposal interests me. i would like to see the process of writing a book. You can look at my CM journal if You want to see examples of how i write. If You are going to do that, please keep in mind that i didn't proofread the entries for typos, spelling, etc. i think if i were going to agree to proofread for You, that there would need to be a probation period, or something. Also, i don't have a lot of experience with BDSM. Very little, actually. Nevertheless, please contact me if You're interested. Thanks.
pam

P.S. Going over Your questions: i am not in a relationship. i don't have much experience in BDSM, but i can email You the journals from my old Master, if You want to know specifics. i don't have a lot of writing experience, either. i'm just an amateur writer who's interested in the process of writing a novel. i don't know if i could be of help to You. i guess it would depend on how much technical expertise You're looking for, as well as whether our writing styles match up. i'm not extremely opinionated, but i would imagine that proofreading/editing requires some degree of correction and giving opinions about what needs to be fixed.

My general impression is that the OP is basically wanting to do a little exhibitionism showing his written fantasies rather than actual cock shots is all, and thus why he doesn't want a person who is going to give negative reaction. /yawn.

Have you seen any takers? We have been here 5 years. we have met many slaves but we have not had any that came to us with any skills that could be used for proofreading or our other need music composer.

We hoped that the administration of this site would put up a new first page profile with an example of a work slave profile and not just a sex slave profile. We seem to have a plethora of sex slave wannabes as well as fake sex slave wannabe Internet beggars but no worker slaves.

It might be true that the pool of slave wannabes who want to do proof reading in the nude is smaller then those who want to do nude house keeping. It is not sexy enough. It is hard to keep a good proof reader on the verge of cuming without them missing typos.

When we first look at a slave, one of our first tests is a long "intro letter". Which some wannabes find as an impersonal cut-n-paste tome but those that read it are very complementary of its information.

From those that read it we learn two things 1. they are intelligent and thoughtful slave wannabes who want to know all they can about US and 2. they will read our writings.

By the time we get to the second letter our "slave questionnaire" we have also weeded out most of the fakes. A few fakes persistently try to get our email address with out answering our questionnaire for which purpose we are not sure, but we are adamant that we will not clutter our YM with wannabe fakes. They ping and buzz all the time. It is hard to write.

Most wannabes do not understand the phrase "the Muse is in the room. So they become frustrated when we work through a hot streak. We have solved some of that by dictating to them to keep them involved with the process.

We have even put them in a 69 position while they take dictation which is a definite multi-tasking challenge for slave and Master/Mistress and most of the time the Muse is not amused.

We hope you have better luck.

Obedience is bliss for the one who serves willingly.
