There's a few people on here (who shall remain nameless for fear of the mods and because everybody will have their own list forming as they read this anyway) who seem to construct an argument in exactly the same way as a bot: they ignore what's being said, and then drag the point onto whatever irrelevant nonsense they want to discuss by posting a link to what somebody else has said elsewhere.
This is not how Alan Turing suspected that a real live person would talk to their peers, I suspect. The poor sod didn't see the day coming when a computer would walk a Turing test because the standards would have to be dropped to allow idiots whose social skills have atrophied through internet abuse to pass them, did he?

I thought you were a debater… you should know that the “change the subject ploy” is a way for those that know they are wrong or backed into a corner to avoid outright loosing an argument.

You're proving my point there, old chap.

And that's his point, Mr. Turing.

The rub is that Whimsical Conversation passed the Turing Test that way; using entirely pre programmed responses without a bit of intelligence.

Do I really need to start using smileys all over the place when I start a thread as a joke, butch?
