rulemylife -> Republican obstructionism, the party of NO! (4/30/2010 4:18:40 PM)

I am really trying to figure out what the Republican strategy is. When Obama was nominated I knew we would have a repeat of the Clinton years with Republicans in constant attack mode, but I never expected to see what we are witnessing. The health care bill passed without a single Republican in either the House or Senate supporting it. You can argue that it was a contentious issue, but now we are having Republicans blocking financial reform even though many have been vocal critics of Wall Street abuses. We had Republicans who sponsored a deficit reduction bill then voting against it. We also have complete Republican opposition to the immigration reform bill even though that has long been a conservative goal. So my question to conservatives, Republicans, and tea party members is would you call this effective government and governing from the center when one party blocks proposals they had previously supported simply because the proposals were initiated by the opposing party? Is This the End of Republican Obstructionism?
