I prefer Veet - doesn't smell as chemically, and doesn't cause chemical burns (on me, at least) LOL

I feel this important statement needs to be marked.

This sentence represents the moment at which I first inhaled a mouthful of carbonated beverage  because of something I read on the forums.

Perfectflaw: my sinuses do not appreciate your sense of humour.

I have always been attracted to men with average to more than average hair on their bodies..if a man has no hair on his chest, stomach or legs it is a turn-off for me....After all I was looking for a man not a boy (although he does trim below the equator)...just my humble opinion.

lizi -> RE: Hairy vrs smooth men (5/1/2010 5:29:58 PM)

I like body hair on men. It just gets me going, the arm hair, chest hair, yes...even leg hair. I don't know why I like it but i do.

LdyyR -> RE: Hairy vrs smooth men (5/1/2010 8:32:05 PM)

I prefer hairless. Getting melted wax off of body hair is a bit well, hair raising.

Do women now like men who are pretty much hairless on the body?

Good gods, man.  Did you think we were all stamped on by the same cookie cutter?  Women don't all like the same things, and men don't all look good with the exact same hair style either.

I generally like my boys fuzzy, if they have a more masculine look to them to begin with.  Body hair accentuates that look.  When I collared a handsome and well built lad who had been keeping himself smooth by personal preference, I put a stop to that habit because he just looks better with body hair.  However if I collared a boy who could really pull off the androgynous look, slender and hairless and ethereal, then him I'd keep smooth.  There is no one size fits all answer, sometimes not even with the same domme.

Obviously.  However, 30 years ago, other than body builders, one never saw a man with a shaved chest and elsewhere.  It seems now that fashions have changed.

I used to have sideburns and a mustache.  How many people wear mustaches (yeah, they were them if they want to, got it).

Just curious as to what the opinion of people is toward what I perceive as a change in what people favor.

I like a boy who has removed his hair because it proves that he has gone through nearly as much trouble as a female might have to make himself pretty.  Effort is hot. So is a greater balance between the sexes. A little nubbin of flesh peeping from an overgrown forest of pube is not. (in my book, anyway.  If you find that attractive, I salute you.) There are probably a few exceptions, as there are some males who just look better with the hair, but as a general rule, I'll take them hairless from the nose down. That and candle wax stuck in body hair is just a mess.
Symbolically, having him depilated robs him of his manhood, transforming him into a prepubescent boy, much like I imagine having women wax their vajes makes them resemble preteens from the waist down. Kind of hideous, when taken in that context, that this is what society has come to expect, but never mind. That's a whole 'nother rant. While it is disturbing that anyone should prefer this (myself included), it is another subtle but effective way to reinforce D/s roles.

This is what I was getting at.  It seems as though both men and women are shedding hair (hopefully in women that means managing less of it than men...).  It just seems as though we are moving towards a culture of children in appearance than adults.  Nothing wrong with that, I just am curious what others think.

SweetDommes -> RE: Hairy vrs smooth men (5/1/2010 8:48:45 PM)

As implied (but not actually stated) in my post - my preference for hairlessness has little to do with how it looks. My own hairlessness is for added sensation and ease of keeping myself clean every month. For our boy(s) - it's because I don't want hair in my mouth. Yes, I think it's hot looking, but I think it looks hot because I like to bite and I much prefer to bite hairless skin - not out of any preference for having a mate who looks child-like.

Ladynslave -> RE: Hairy vrs smooth men (5/1/2010 10:22:38 PM)

I have a hard limit on back hair.  I prefer shaved genitals and ass.  The hair on the chest can stay where it is.  I am beginning to love the feeling of smooth legs on mine so that may be changing.

I just perfer men to be smooth of body hair... but my dream boy would have long locks... just so many interesting ways to bind a in rope when your bondage can incorporate long hair... but for most other forms of play smooth skin just makes things easier.. unless of course you want to do duct tape scene.!!!!

MadameMarque -> RE: Hairy vrs smooth men (5/2/2010 7:06:15 AM)

I have a thing for a lot of smooth hair on the head and a lot of smooth hairless skin on the face and body.

It's sensually pleasing, to me. Smooth skin looks more sculptural to me, whereas body hair disturbs the surface. Smooth skin suggests it will be smoother to the touch (which it will be until and unless you have grow out from hair removal). A smooth face against my skin will be much more pleasing.

It's androgyneous. I like pretty boys (men) - not outright feminized but androgyneous. Why, for a woman who's heavily leaning straight? (How can you be straight and leaning heavily, you ask.) Who knows the "why?" They're beautiful.

I have one exception to the smooth body - I actually like some pubic hair above the genitals. Not on the genitals, but some above, is not manditory but it's preferred.

doormat1975 -> RE: Hairy vrs smooth men (5/2/2010 7:25:40 AM)

I have a hairy chest, hairy back, and hairy ass lol ..... But I do shave down there :)

It really depends on what we're both wanting to do.  I prefer being able to see what I'm doing. So if someone should remove his clothes and prove he is neanderthal man, at minimum he's going to trim around his nipples and genitals so that I can find the damn things!  But if he has a lot of hair but it isn't getting in the way then I won't worry about it.

Smooth is fun to play with. No hair to get in the way of whatever sensations I might like to apply to the skin. Personally, I shave because I find it's generally tidier and increases my pleasure when I recieve oral service.

You've got it Alexandra, except when I was real young running around the house at night in my underwear, my grandmother would tell me "get to bed you hairy thing."

Ambyant -> RE: Hairy vrs smooth men (5/2/2010 10:52:59 AM)

I'm all about using excess body hair as a scene- waxing is fun.
Apply at your own risk!
And I do agree with Ladynslave : back hair- *shudders*
Duct tape IS quicker and probably more painful!
My primary is pretty smooth except in the lower arena -
that gets shaved in a wikked scene ever so often, when he least expects it~

Zamek -> RE: Hairy vrs smooth men (5/2/2010 12:15:45 PM)

me thinks duct tape would be too painful.......  but what do i know :)

Sometimes I find it quite funny the things that men *don't* get offended about. [;)]

Interestingly, my chest is completely bald. However, I make up for any resulting lack of manliness by having big, hairy bollocks.

We can fix that, ya know.
