Status: offline 		What picture would be recommended for most mens' profiles here on CM, assuming that the man doesn't wish to be identifiable per se?

I researched the anonymous female profiles first (on-going research ... someone has to do it) ... and find MANY breast shots, derrieres, and other scintillating body shots. Looking at the anonymous men, I find mostly decapitated torsoes, and the infamous cock closeup.

Personally, I would like a more personal picture (like I had before); but alas, I'm trying to think of what would show the me that mattered to women which they would also enjoy seeing.

What is the picture you recommend for any man on this board who needs privacy but who wishes, in the interests of full disclosure, to show you what you'd like to know by way of personal chemistry on his profile?

It will be a shame to see that pic you're using from I don't know where to disappear, as I enjoy looking at it.  (I also miss domiguy's, the one with two birds flying, lol.  It was DIFFERENT.)

What could you possibly post without that person who almost outed you at work figuring things out?  I think you're stuck. 

I enjoy seeing pix that reflect personality more than looks.  (But hopes that some guy will dress up like Zorro and have hat tilted so face isn't visible...ah, better than nakkies.) 

At a fan site I was at before I came to this site, a lot of us seriously perved over the man's...hands. 

Someday when I'm not on this geriatric, crippled computer, I plan to put a pic up of a few of my favorite ribbon floggers.  Ones I've made myself and used, that have good memories attached.  If nobody else likes it...well, at least seeing these myself will remind me of the good times and help balance me out if I start feeling too cynical.  When my hair is butt level again instead of to my waist, I MIGHT post a pic of a closeup of my hair, one of my floggers resting across it, with my hand in a glove I've made.  If it appeals to me.

Do whatever is right for you...have fun with it.

Status: offline 		I like to see who I'm talking to...so if you can't show your face on your profile, what I would reccomend is attaching a photo on a firsr contact cmail.

What I don't want to see is your collection of toys, your last s/s with her cheeks blazing or a cock shot. All of these things tell me you're focused on one thing.

Avatars are fine because they give an indication of what the person identifies with.

fyrenbrimstone kindly researched the picture for me and informed me just today that this picture from the historically accurate movie "Pompeii, the Last Day" shows the wealthy slave owner "Stefanus" tugging on the collar of the girl only known as "slave girl" (how affectionate). In the movie, the "slave girl" chattel was forced to sleep with her Master and presumably she died when the roof collapsed in the cheap hotel he was dog-housing her in ... and, historically, I'm told by fyrenbrimstone, a slave was found entombed wearing their Master's identification bracelet.

Anyway, it was apropos for the moniker "Pompeii" ... but it doesn't look at all like me (I've a less serious demeanor ... much more playful than that!)

Oh no! Not that bestiality thing again. It's illegal to talk about pet photos in the USA, and besides, it's against the TOS.

Nonetheless, the mods will make an exception ... I saw an amusing "pet foto" in Venalismihi's profile just today ... of a kitten looking up a dress musing "I don't see the resemblance!".

I'm probably in the minority on this, but I prefer getting to know someone just a bit before seeing their actual picture. I like the mystery, the mind game of forming my own mental image of them. Of course, there have been times the physical attraction wasn't there once pictures were exchanged. There have also been times I've ended up very much attracted to someone I wouldn't have seen as "my type" just based on a picture.

So yeah, I say put up a pic which makes a statement about your personality. There's always time to exchange actual pics once a dialog has been established.

Anyone I've ever been madly in love with and had the major hots over...well, it never began with love or attraction at first sight.  It snuck up on me when I wasn't looking.

If I had used photos to eliminate them as possibilities...I would have missed out on the biggest loves of my life.

You've been here for 3 years, have all of two posts, a deadly dull profile, one journal entry that consists of mostly your profile, and a bunch of shots showing all your business.

Why do you think the men need to have a "well written profile with plenty of inciteful forum posts and an updated journal" and you don't? Generally, like attracts like.



Pompeii:

A shot of you with some kind of sport thing could hide your face - hiking with sunglasses and hat, skiing with goggles and such, biking with a helmet and the like.... That could certainly be doable. Unless of course you don't do anything sporty in which case... *sigh* I don't know.

Status: offline 		Some years ago I used (in a different forum), a photo of me wearing 12thC Armour with the camail up so that only my eyes were visible. I tried it here when I first joined but the CM Administrators refused to allow it because I had a Viking Sword in my hand and the photo with and without the sword looked too threatening,.
