It isn't hard to get around, and scammers will certainly do so to get to a place where the magas feel safe. In fact, some do it as a matter of course, to keep their vics from doing an IP trace and twigging to the scam. I'm obviously not going to post how, esp since you seem to already know at least one or two ways.
You seem to think that scammers won't make an effort, which is laughable... even if it is understandable, given the kindergarten level scammers we usually deal with here.
Please attempt to wrap your head around this- in some places, scamming is considered a legitimate, full time, and honorable profession; in others, it is highly organized, mafia controlled, and tied to various other crimes (see my first post on this thread). If that shocks you, then you really need to bone up a bit.

You were the one who mentioned 'trace-ability' (sic), not me.
I believe that I already pointed out that scammers are quite happy to 'pay' for dating site memberships. Please note that when the phishing is reported, the card company or paypal will reverse the charge, screwing the merchant... that would be CM.
Also, from what I've read in the other 100,000 threads like this, most of the members do not have any desire for this to become a pay site in any way.

It is likely to deter the amateurs, while attracting the professionals. Most really successful scammers don't bother with free sites, they target pay sites. Do you really want to see a better class of scammer around here? I don't.

That said, with the amount of energy you have expended bitching about CM, you could have made your own, completely scammer free (LOL) BDSM personals site by now. It certainly doesn't sound like you enjoy this site all that much to me.

The current scammers tend to certain demographics/ commonalities in their profiles and emails that make them hella easy to spot and pretty easy to avoid. I happen to like it that way. Block, delete, move on.
As for a solution, this site is targeted for one reason... because people here send money, despite the hella obvious "DO NOT SEND OTHER USERS MONEY FOR ANY REASON" warning at the top of every cmail, and links to information on internet scams. As long as that is true, we will have scammers here. Should the owners of this site ask, I might have a suggestion or two for them, but the fact remains that predators won't hunt where there is no game.
