MaitresseEden -> for the love of feet (9/15/2004 12:11:19 PM)

Ok.. normal Caveat of "Your opinion may vary".. however I may no bones about my love of foot worship, and the fact that I consider myself to have strong foot fetish. In fact it is a topic I often discuss with others, and in doing so one of the subs with whom I was speaking to offerred to send me His suggestion of What he considers as rules for the feet. I have taken them and added my own comments to them, and thought perhaps others might be interested in contributing to the topic as well. I'd love to hear from other peoples thoughts on this topic. His "Guide" is in normal Text and my comments to them are in Bold, followed by a few rants of my own.
enjoy~

Guide for wearing open toed shoes...

- if you are going to wear sandals, have a peek at the condition of your feet. I mean the toes don't have to be painted, but if the the nails are chipped and not taken care of.. please... lol. Wearing sandals with nasty feet is like framing a picture that has a ketchup stain on it. Why?
I love this analogy.

- Long toenails are gross. I know many have a fetish for this, and women seem to get away with growing them a little longer, but long toenails is a fad from the 20's that died a long time ago.
I have to agree.. I hate long toenails on men, but I also don't care for short ingrown ones on me or anyone else.

- Toes should never ever hang over the edge of shoe. I mean, wear a size larger, whatever, but if the toes are hanging over and hanging on to the edge of the shoe like a set of fingers, that's gross.
No arguement from me here either

- If you have one of them pinky toes that just won't stay on the shoe, you're wearing the wrong style of shoe. Don't think nobody notices that little piggy poking out because they do. Even worse, and God forbid, if the pinky is sticking out and dragging on the ground and getting dirty, then it's time for me to get the puke bucket.
Well now.. I've never seen the pinky dragging the ground as mentioned, and I know some shoes cause pinky pop out but a thin strip of clear medical tape can often remedy that situation, or else its a good excuse to buy another pair.

- There's nothing good looking about Birkenstocks. It's says "I'm a poetry reading Lesbian with short hair". (No offence to Lesbians by the way, but poets be damned)

I agree.. that they arn't the most sexy shoe.. but they are comfy... ugly.. but comfy.

- Never wear beige shoes! Exception: you are wearing neutral colours and they happen to match. Beige shoes says to me, that you don't have a shoe in your closet that matches what you are wearing and somehow beige matches everything. (It doesn't) Totally DISAGREE HERE.. a sexy beige sling with jeans is hot!

- Black nylons with white sandals. For the love of God no.
Well Duh!

- Todays cheap flip flops are adorable. Some of them have cute little bead work in them and some of them sparkle with sequins. However if you've worn them everyday for the last two months, and the sole is like new on one side and worn to the ground on the other, do yourself a favour and spend $1.99 for another pair. Ah yes.. Same applies for all shoes.. if they are falling apart throw them out!

- If you do take the time to paint your toenails, either maintain them, or remove the polish all together. Chipped polish and half painted nails because of new growth is not nice too look at. It's like walking around with food on your face. Yea, my face used to be clean, but then i had some supper, and i'm too lazy to wipe it off. Ok.. and I'd like to expand on this.. if you are wearing open toes shoes. PAINT YOUR TOENAILS.. At the very least.. with clear.

- You may wear white shoes after the long weekend in May, and you absolutely have to stop wearing them past Labour Day. You won't get away with it on the Tuesday after Labour Day weekend, we shoe police are watching. Winter white.. which is a ivory is acceptable ONLY if the entire ensemble is that color.

- Don't wear slingbacks if you are just going to let the slingback strap hang down around the heel or under your foot, because you are too lazy to reach down with one finger to place it where it belongs. There are a plethora of slip on styles to choose from. The same goes for the lace up the leg styles.. take the time to do the laces evenly and semetrically! or have a sub help you

- Not entirely related, but worth an honourable mention. running shoes or sneakers will never ever go with dress pants of any kind.
YEA!

Ok, and Now my rants..

Corns and calluses.. Keep them smooth, If you have access to a good pedicure it should be a regular thing, if not able to afford it, take the time to do it yourself and keep your feet looking healthy, and sexy. THIS APPLIES TO BOTH MEN AND WOMEN, DOM/ME or SUB. BUT DRY FLAKEY CRACKED FEET ARE A SIGN OF BAD HYGIENE, and Lack of attention to one self. Nothing is more revolting than seeing a sub kneeling and looking at dry skin, if you need to use foot powder to treat the flakes, or lotion for the dryness, make the effort to always put your best foot forward.

TONAILS SHOULD NOT BE RAGGED, TORN, CRACKED, BROKEN.. clippers are only $1.49 at the drug store, invest in a pair. Scratching someone with your toes.. (unless that is their fetish) while they sleep is very irritating.

anyway.. those are a few thoughts.. comments anyone?

Yanno, I've noticed you, and have actually talked about you for quite some time now, but haven't had the time or opportunity to actually speak to you, until now. I particularly enjoyed this post because I do love shoes, and especially open toe shoes as my toes are perfectly graduated (in size) and I love showing them.

The length of my toenails are generally just even with the end of my toes. I keep them polished with a color according to the season and/or my mood. I also enjoy going barefooted a lot, especially around the house and in the yard. So the floors (indoors) must be spotless, and the grass in the yard must always be well kept, mowed just right so as to be soft and carpetlike.

Birkenstocks *sigh*, I adore them! I'd wear them with an evening gown! Well, at least in the car. [;)] I do love Birkenstocks, and *ahem* I also happen to be a poet. [;)]

Sandals...I love those brown leather east Indian sandals that we wore back in the 70's. I don't own a single pair of those hideous long pointy toe things that everyone seems to think is so chic these days.

Remembering feet in the daily skin care routine makes a big difference. People do notice feet! I do.

Wonderful post, Eden! What a pleasure to finally interact with you. [;)]

MaitresseEden -> RE: for the love of feet (9/15/2004 2:02:29 PM)

Thank you Lady.. Likewise. Glad to see you posting again.

I will confess I own a few pointy toed.. Not too many however but in Texas they have a higher purpose. " Killing cockroaches in the corner".. lol. I'd love to have shoe shopping spree. My problem is affording to keep my feet in stylish ones. I tend to wear them out, and have a strict budget of what I allow myself to spend on my feet. If I didn't I would forgo the necessary things such as the electric bill to indulge my passion.

Today I did a cute little something to a strappy pair of high heel sandals. I took a silver name badge that says "Mistress" and fastened it to the strap that comes across the base of my toes, so totally sexy and will look adorable when lips are pressed to my toes. As for color of nail polish I'm afraid I am a creature of habit. I like RED... All shades.. but it has to be RED with a design on my big toes, If the sub is real good he may be rewarded with seeing his initials painted on my big toe, showing him his rightful place. mmmmm.. all this toe talk has me breathing hard.

So would I, but I happen to own a pair of huge feet that most stores and designers pretend don't exist. Australian size 12½EE(which I think is 14 US sizes), and there are two stores at home I can buy shoes at, and they're not cheap. I plan on squeezing in some shopping next week, to see if I can find some around here in the US in stores, because I need to try them on before I buy.

MaitresseEden -> RE: for the love of feet (9/16/2004 9:00:51 PM)

alot of cross dressing shops will sell the larger sizes kiki blue. And several online venues do as well. I fortunate that I wear a 10, but that is hard to find too in all styles.

I'd like to add to the foot rules. If you have cracked heels. For the love of god don't wear backless shoes. They used to teach shoe etiquette back in the 50's to never leave your house with your heels exposed. Hey, that wasn't such a bad idea.

I remember when I was in the second grade learning about creepies and crawlies. If you went barefoot there were microscopic worms on the concrete that actually went into your feet and caused you trouble. This grossed me out so much, I remember it today. When you go to any local mall, what do you see? So many flip flops and such. Why not just go barefoot? Land of the cracked heels and ugly toes.

Unfortunately, most of what those specialty shops sell is over-priced and low quality. There are a couple of manufacturers selling larger sizes but they are few and far between.

It's funny but i thought for sure i was the only one with quirks about proper shoe wear and good shoe etiquitte.

Sadly though, where i live, it's Autumn, and the cute little flip flops and sandals are pretty much all but gone till next year.

Absence makes the heart grow fonder i guess. :)

Thanks for the links, though it seemed they didn't have many in my size or price range. I want to find a store that sells them, so I can try them on and be sure!

dixiedumpling -> RE: for the love of feet (9/17/2004 3:32:12 PM)

I've never cared too much about fashion. If it doesn't pinch, it pretty much suits me. Been clothes shopping lately. Losing weight is great, but clothes shopping sucks out loud. Asymeterical or handkerchief hemlines are attractive only on the very young, thin model variety body, not most American women. SHOES. I'm like kiki blue. I have big feet. Although, I've lost weight there, too. Used to get an 11, now can wear a 10, but it must be wide. Hardly anyone stocks wide width shoes, except for Payless. I'd like toot my horn for Tic Tac Toes brand dancing shoes. First got some when I square danced. (How are square dancing and BDSM alike? Both have someone to direct your movements.) They are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn and I despise heels. Birkenstocks and SAS sneakers have made my feet not so appreciative of heels.

I'm going to preface this by saying, crossdressing is not a real thrill for me, though i've done it a few times just for shits and giggles...what i found was that i'd probably be a shoe slut if i really got into that on a regular basis...i remember one time i had to go to a local shopping mall to get shoes...and i too, wear a women's 14 when i do wear 'em...which hasn't been in at least 5 yrs...maybe if i lose a few pounds, i'd do it again lol

But in San Francisco, when i lived in that area, Haight Ashbury was the place to go for all things large size...with all the CDers there Goddess knows there had to be a lot to choose from!

im new to this service, any women out there in the Philadelphia PA area, that like their feet worshiped, i love pretty feet!!!

MaitresseEden -> RE: for the love of feet (9/17/2004 7:47:08 PM)

Well Folks.. I just got a back from 4 hours of shoe shopping, and I'm wiped. I only managed to purchase one pair of suede open toe 4" mule pumps.. ( I hate that word "mule") but that is what they call them. Such an unsexy word for a sexy shoe that can easily dangle from your ankle. I drooled all over the shoes as DSW. Which carry up to size 12 FYI. They have several pairs of boots I'm coveting. But I have to confess that this foot fetishist, Despises those point witch shoes that they are pushing. I bet I tried on 50 pair and they all pinched and hurt like hell. I hate the big clunkers square toes too, so needless to say all the ones that fit and I liked were out of my budget. After going to about 7 different shoe stores, I have a good idea of the style of boots I want for fall, It just a matter of coming up with a reason to justify the $240. to purchase them. I swear there is a shoe mafia that over inflates the price of these things..

Anway.. The new ones were cheap, and comfy and being black suede I can wear in the fall, despite being open toed. Anyway... My toes are toast and in need of some serious pampering at the moment.

JTincharge -> RE: for the love of feet (8/7/2005 1:55:02 PM)

I'd like to resurrect this thread, because I think it's important.

I completely agree with the sentiments here. Ugly feet should not be displayed, period. In my opinion, men's feet are ugly simply because they are men's feet, and are not meant to be pretty or on display; that's for females only.

Girls, if you're going to display your feet and/or toes, then put in the effort to keep them nice and presentable. And take my honest word for it, we really do appreciate the time and effort that you invest in your feet and nails.

My two cents, for whatever two cents is worth these days.

FelinePersuasion -> RE: for the love of feet (8/8/2005 2:19:17 AM)

eh I never did care for the rules of what color or not to wear after labor day. IF I want to wear the said color I will. Plain and simple.

Pavel -> RE: for the love of feet (8/8/2005 10:35:51 AM)

Back in highschool I had a teacher that wore sandals every day. Her toes looked like they were trying to fold under the rest of her foot, and touch her heel, in addition to looking just gross in general (the same teacher also used purple hair dye to cover up her baldspot). I think that gave me some kind of inverse foot fetish (feet covered up=good!).

Lessons learned; if you look like a monster from a 50's scifi film, wearing sandals is a bad idea.
