And Tavistock is a town in the UK, on the edge of Dartmoor. It is the origin of my name but mostly because I work in a place off the Tavistock Road.....

Thank you dreamofthemoon for that greeting from Southern California. I was lucky enough to spend two periods in San Diego in my early post-graduate career working in a laboratory at UCSD, and living close by. The Torrey Pines, La Jolla Cove (I am a keen diver) and the Southern California lifestyle are deeply etched on my memory.

Oh, and how!. Sadly I was a very junior research fellow and certainly not of the girth and stature, prefessionally and financially to be a successful Dom. And that was long before internet days. However I quickly changed in a chameleon-like manner to put aside my British reserve and stiff upper lip and embraced the libidinous desires which were the Spirit of the Day when we were all hippies or part of the post-hippy generation.

Lots of it, but it was all Vanilla. Excruciating nights on Blacks beach pretending that one knew or cared about one's star sign. But you had to talk the talk and walk the walk in those days.

Yes, I kind of guessed that was the case.[:)]  Although I was on 50-50 whether it was there or Tavistock House in London... I used to live in on the coast down in Devon and then in Cornwall a while.

I am much acquainted with Aussies. I was an absolute winner with Aussie Physios and Radiographers when I was a junior doctor. And later in life I was a guest lecturer at SPUMS....the South Pacific Undersea Medical Society which is an excuse for Aussie and Kiwi doctors interested in diving to have a tax free holiday. We met in Rabaul in Papua New Guinea for a fabulous week of diving on WW2 wrecks and lectures. I had published some papers on retinal degeneration in divers and had a wonderful time. But there were some lovely calipygeous Aussie ladies present also. I do remember a night, on a boat off PNG. Gregorian Chant on my CD player...a clear starry sky with the odd lightening and a smell of volcanos. And the most gorgeous Aussie lass from Newcastle, north of Sydney. I also had a wonderful girlfriend called Virginia who was an Aussie..........Vanilla days were good, just not as good as pervy days.

We brits are irresistable to Aussie lasses. I know it from a small unpublished research project of my own.
