Collarme seems to have changed something regarding the Chatrooms. I have a real problem getting the chatrooms to load on my screen. I am only able to get them to load sporadically, never with any certainty like before. Anyone know why this is the case???

They have had trouble with trouble makers and hackers and changed their security protocols, not really worked, you use IRC or the Java? (plus you have to registr your name to get onto the chat)

I've also been unable to get into any of the chatrooms for weeks. I use Java and thought to look for that thread where some thoughtful person told how to use IRC instead...but if IRC users are also having problems I believe I'll just give up. I miss the chatrooms so much. :( I hadn't realized how much I used them just for winding down before bed.

Thank you, sunshinemiss. When I click on the button, there's a blank page except for a button that tells me to download Adobe Flash Player...and my computer won't. It's a crippled ancient beast of a WindowsME, and I'm waiting for the next Black Friday sale to get a new one...or if I'm very lucky, I'll manage to fix one of my old XPs. I'm all out of luck then, everybody else can access them but for me, lol. Drat.

They changed control software and had a problem. I talked with one of the mods on a monday and they had been up for days trying to fix stuff. Give them a minute to straighten it all out.

Things have been working fine. Go in thru the chatroom button on the other side. You have to register a nick and a valid email.

I want to add, there are password instructions on that page to enter through MIRC, but by far the easiest way to enter is thru (yes it's flash now instead of java) the site chatroom page, and head for #IRCops and let them walk you through the whole registration process. They have it down to a science and if you follow their instructions as they guide you real time through the different steps, you can be online with MIRC in a manner of a few minutes.

I do miss the chatrooms, used to be so easy to get in, now I can't get in at all.
