Mercenary organizations are "for Profit" Corporations whose god is bottom line profit. They have no incentive to stop a war because that would not be good for business. They want the war to continue so they can feed that bottom line.

The international laws passed by the U N and signed on to by the U S were brought about by the biggest mercenary outfit in Iraq -Aegis, owned by Tim Spicer, a British Soldier of Fortune whose activities in Africa brought about the laws against Mercenaries.
