binaryfreedom -> gag that doesn't induce saliva (5/5/2010 12:45:18 AM)

Every gag I've tried induces lots and lots of saliva and thus is not really comfortable in the long term. does anyone has recommendations on suitable gags that can be wore comfortably for long periods?

The gag doesn't actually induce greater amounts of saliva, does it? I thought it was just that we can't swallow so it keeps building up.

I understand. If I'm lying on my back when gagged, and can't turn my head to drool, I'll eventually start choking as it runs down my throat unguided and into my windpipe instead of my esophagus... [sm=help.gif]

Maybe you consider and absorbant material. Without knowing how long you are speaking about being gagged it is hard to answer.

The reason you salivate is because you have something alien in your mouth. Put anything in your mouth and you will salivate.
MsAlisedeSade has the best advice.

Isn't that the point or is it just me? I love the plastic ones with holes in them - VERY saliva inducing and drippy!

use a clean, white washcloth pushed into the mouth, not back far enough that it would obstruct breathing and put bondage tape around the face. It will still cause drool, but it is absorbed. Unlike most gags, it will actually absorb sound but certainly shouldn't be used in prone positions or when sleeping.

You might want to consider a muzzle instead of a gag: http://www.stockroom.com/Leather-Head-Harness-with-Muzzle-P2129.aspx

for those that like the dripping, I've heard dabbing honey or something else sweet on the gag before putting it in adds a lot of saliva action. or you could be mean and use tabasco.
for those you who aren't, I've heard cotton balls in the cheeks (between the cheek and the teeth, shoved up and down, like at the dentist) both cuts down on the drool for a while and makes a nice punishment.

If you want to reduce or eliminate the amount of drool the gag creates, try using something with high absorbancy (ie, towel, rag, cotton, etc).  Personally, I love the look of a sub/switch with drool trickling down their chin.  If you want to add a bit of sadistic nature to it, make them take off their socks or panties and put it in their mouths and force them to hold it their without securing it with tape.  If they can't do that, begin adding a little black pepper to the gag.  That should help spice things up!
