After school I went to the dollar store and found me a bunch of great things. I went in to find out if they had dish towels, so I could buy a few to play tug o war with Ginger with,  then found some neat stickers, and some of those little wood boxes you can buy at Michaels, and they're already to go , you just paint them.

I'm going to paint up one of the little boxes and put a cute sticker on it and hopefully seal it with out the sticker ruining and give it to my mom for mothers day!

and some of the stickers are really cool and I wanna make some more ageplay themed paddles with them. I already have 3 of the paddles I made up on my profile, and I got two more made that I have not loaded up the pictures of yet.

There was some really cute miniature erasers at the dollar store, and they came in their own tiny zip up back pack, and I am thinking it'd be fun to put them in the little boxes I decorated, and give as gifts. Other idea's to go into the boxes, could be stickers, or tiny earrings, or little candies, or little gem stone thingies I make by gluing pictures and stuff to the back of those glass gems that you put in the bottom of fake flower arrangements for added decorative appeal.

I got the greatest idea for home made magnets now I am jonesing to go back to the dollar store, where I saw the cute little miniature erasers, and then get some of those magnet tabs at the craft store, and hot glue the little erasers to the magnet tabs.

Also fun to do, would be to take baseball card protectors, put pictures in them and then hole punch it to make a photo ring album.

Yet ANOTHER idea, would be to make a framed magnets board from galvanized steel and snap together picture frames.

I love to do artistic projects but my time is limited. As is my art 'budget'.

The need to work and pay my bills is stronger.

Alas, from time to time I get motivated. But I lie down and think of marshmallow fluff until, mercifully, it passes.

My bills are thankfully quite small, so I can pay bills and buy craft supplies, specially if I buy them from the dollar store. Since the dollar store has a lot of nice things for, well a dollar.  Last two times my entire purchase was only 30 dollars,  that's 60 dollars for two trips, which won't ever be missed.

Had I gone to an art store, I'd say yeah, that'd be to expensive to do very often, cause stuff in craft stores and art stores can be astronomically expensive.

I join your club

Back home I have a lot (and I mean A LOT) of craft materials....but here I have neither the time, nor space nor money to get it...once I relocate to my "country for potentially rest of my life" I will ship there my stuff from Germany...however, over here is no point...

I miss expressing the art skills in me as it relaxes me a lot...whereas working around the clock does not quite have the same effect on me...

TFTB - looks like you are having fun!

Dave - You would love Aunt Fab's house. Every window has stained glass in it. Even the doors to the patio are ten feet tall stained glass!

As a gift, she gave me a couple of stained glass pieces she has - one of Klimt's The Kiss and two pieces of Water Lilies.

best,
sunshine

Thank you. Yeah, I'd love to be paid for the stuff I make, like baby bibs and stuff, which were not linked in the links, but it's fun to do it even if I don't get paid, and just end up donating the stuff to charity, since there are no babies in this house, or in friends houses:)

Just a shout out to Barb, one of the 2 glass-skilled ladies who run the place.
We love her, really, we do.

Thanks :)

My current project is a pair of new glass inserts for a china cabinet.
One of these days I'm going to do some erotic stained glass, just as soon as I can find/create some patterns.

My dad is going to make my mom a china cabinet, but it's not going to be stained glass, Idon't know what it's going to be, but the base is made already and has been for quite a while, it's just the top that's taking forever to be made lol.

Wait a minute. Is garden design considered a craft? I may yet be allowed to be creative!
