And *another* benefit of this "global economy!"
Now the IMF (our taxdollars) will "help out" another failing economy.
Just who was the *genius* who came up with this "global economy" crap anyway?
They're not "third world countries" anymore they're....."~developing countries!~"! Only thing is the only thing they're "developing" is more poverty and more population.
So, we kick the can of corporations' debt down the road far enough and the next thing you know we have to kick the can of countrie's debt next!
You can only reward failure for so long.

Gold was up but silver down- now both are up.  The after markets can be interesting to watch.

That is beyond insane.  Anyone deliberately manipulating the markets like that would be locked up.  The system should have better safeguards against accidents!

I don't think too many beleive that pressing the B - rather then the M, caused this damage.

Also in 87 they fixed all this.

So- ok- they lie- but what about next time?   Like next week?   They say they will void some trades now- but whos?  How do they figure that out?

50-70% of all trades in NY are done via high-speed, computer-generated trading.  With programmed trades, the system can run off and practically kill itself before someone intervenes (took 2 minutes to figure out what was going on).  Trading in just 2 stocks accounted for half the losses.

The "circuit breakers" instituted after '87 need updating, since they are kinda old school for today's trading environment.
