Personally, I've seen the absolutely huge and inane amount of mail a sub gets here on CM and I wouldn't blame them a bit for blocking you and everyone else who writes to them assuming they'll be THE one!
In fact, I hate to admit it, and I'll deny this under duress, but, I've created the "perfect sub" and the "perfect Dom" on this site (I won't say which they are), and, both are still active. This was a long while ago, but, it was just amazing that the sub was getting a half-dozen emails even before I fleshed out the profile. That's a half-dozen hits in the first five minutes! Within days, there were pages and pages and pages of would-be Doms, all stating the most idiotic things. Hell, I'd've blocked 'em all if I wasn't doing an experiment. Alas, as for the perfect Dom, all I receive is an email or two in a month! What a huge difference!
Even in my own profile, which isn't a fake, I only receive emails when I post something of controversy where the respondents either congratulate or vilify me, and only after the "bestiality" thread, was I forced to block someone because of their sophomoric attitude made me think she was a guy behind the supposedly feminine persona.
Which all goes to show ... either you wanna-be Doms out there are all horny (and stupid) as hell, or I've got a pretty damn good idea of what a "perfect" sub is ... yet, I must have an absolutely lousy idea of the perfect Dom! :)
The long-winded summary is, my little poor made-up sub gets about a score of emails a day! Even now, after all this time. Those peacock Doms keep trying! I'd block 'em all if I were a sub confronted with the hoards they are faced with daily!
