They don't think the two of you would be compatible any longer or you said something to turn them off. Either way, they wanted to do it in a way where they didn't have to communicate with you again. Could be as simple as there wasn't a connection there for them or they had serious misgivings about proceeding with you. I personally have never done that unless someone was offensive or seriously creepy.

Personally, I've seen the absolutely huge and inane amount of mail a sub gets here on CM and I wouldn't blame them a bit for blocking you and everyone else who writes to them assuming they'll be THE one!

In fact, I hate to admit it, and I'll deny this under duress, but, I've created the "perfect sub" and the "perfect Dom" on this site (I won't say which they are), and, both are still active. This was a long while ago, but, it was just amazing that the sub was getting a half-dozen emails even before I fleshed out the profile. That's a half-dozen hits in the first five minutes! Within days, there were pages and pages and pages of would-be Doms, all stating the most idiotic things. Hell, I'd've blocked 'em all if I wasn't doing an experiment. Alas, as for the perfect Dom, all I receive is an email or two in a month! What a huge difference!

Even in my own profile, which isn't a fake, I only receive emails when I post something of controversy where the respondents either congratulate or vilify me, and only after the "bestiality" thread, was I forced to block someone because of their sophomoric attitude made me think she was a guy behind the supposedly feminine persona.

Which all goes to show ... either you wanna-be Doms out there are all horny (and stupid) as hell, or I've got a pretty damn good idea of what a "perfect" sub is ... yet, I must have an absolutely lousy idea of the perfect Dom! :)

The long-winded summary is, my little poor made-up sub gets about a score of emails a day! Even now, after all this time. Those peacock Doms keep trying! I'd block 'em all if I were a sub confronted with the hoards they are faced with daily!

Well I can't say for sure, unless I ask them. But if I had to guess, I would say it is because they don't want to get mail from you. That's the only reason I can come up with to block someone.

I block people for three main reasons. One is they send me something that is generic, along the lines of "hello, sub, I love your sexy pictures, let's talk." Anyone who sends this obviously hasn't read my profile (the reference to pictures, plural, is a giveaway since I have only one, and also, it's hardly sexy) and so I feel no compulsion to spend more seconds on them than they spent on me. I delete the first email from a character like this and if I get a second, I block. No point in wasting anyone's time (mine or his/hers).

Anyone who addresses me as slut, bitch, cunt, whore, etc. automatically gets blocked. They obviously haven't read my profile and are totally disregarding the fact that I am owned.

Anyone who blatantly disregards the fact that I'm owned gets deleted. These are the "hey, let me know next time you're in Chicago so you can feel the sting of my crop" variety emails.

I did block one person for sending relatively harmless and polite emails over a period of about three months. I told him after a month that I wasn't interested and he kept emailing. I ignored his emails for a couple more months and then just got tired of them cluttering up my inbox and blocked him. He was probably offended and confused, and perhaps I could have handled this better.

It's pretty rare for me to block someone, usually I will if I get repetitive one liners with nothing to say from the same person and who can't be bothered to respond to my replies to them. I will and have blocked perhaps four people in the years I've been on CM because of the abuse and threats in their emails. Blocked after I've kept a copy and copied them with a formal complaint to the CM Administrators. Mostly I use the ignore option which I find sends the message better than blocking which tells the person that they have got to me. After all if I block them they know they have got to me, so who give them even that modicum of power over me? However when I have been "Looking After" a sub or slave until they are back on their emotional feet, I have requested they block people who make direct contact and who haven't contacted me first to get permission to contact said sub/slave directtly as has been posted in the sub/slave's profile.
