So, I'm a little new at this and I have no idea at what point this becomes a truly dangerous activity. I have never considered allowing a man to tie me to the point at which my skin actually changes color. I mean from regular flesh color, to red, to blue..to purple..or even black...(i assume that's the range)...

I realize that if i google something like this..all i will find is...'bad..bad..bad'..

So, please, folks that actually have experience with this, and have been active participants (on either side)..could you give me a little insight?

Status: offline 		Having the breasts bound to the point of skin discoloration is,  in and of itself, not a dangerous activity.  It's when the Dom doesn't know when to release or loosen the bondage to allow blood to flow again that's dangerous.  Talk frankly with your Dom and tell him your concerns. 
I have my breasts bound as part of play but my Dom is experienced and knows what he's doing.  I often have marks but they're yummy. :)

Status: offline 		Generally speaking, allowing any body part to turn black, or reach the point of numbness is a bad bad thing.
Boobs are quite able to be tied to the point of becoming purple hued and slightly cool to the touch without permanent damage, provided they aren't left that way for an extended period of time. Tell your Dom to think in minutes vs. Hours when it comes to tied time.

Status: offline 		I wonder how long it takes to get them to turn purple or black? I have had mine in a breast press for 15-20 mins and it was only reddish. And loosening it they did recover back to their normal shade quite quickly. They have also been bound in ropes without any issues other than leaving those rope lines on my skin. The darkest they ever got was when he used one of those metal and rubber band things that you tighten with screws.

During my first bdsm experience mine were tied tightly & i went into subspace losing all sense of time, and the playing lasted for about 3 1/2 to 4 hours. The next day, my boobs looked like they had been run over by trucks! They were all purplish-colored and the bruises finally went away after a couple weeks. i'm happy to say, no permanent damage.

This is probably as individualized as bruising; mine will turn purple and get cool after only several minutes, say 10 -15, 20-30 is about as long as we let them go. But I tend to bruise easily also, so it may be related.

Status: offline 		I've seen those photos of a (German) woman hanging (just) from her tits with milk spilling forth, and those of the Japanese gals (although they had multiple trusses) also hanging by their tits - and - well - it's highly erotic (the whole control aspect, especially when centered on what we men focus upon) - but I do also wonder about the underlying tissue damage.

I guess it's no worse than those breast pincushion and nails pictures .... yikes! Erotic to "think" about - but I couldn't imagine anyone actually doing it.

Status: offline 		If the breasts really hurt when the clamps come off it is because blood is returning to the area.
The fact that the blood is returning means it was absent for a time. Lack of blood flow causes tissue death.
