Steven and wanders, her OP (which she hasn't edited) says that she is queer, which means "not straight" rather than "lesbian." If someone asks my sexual orientation, I usually reply that I'm heteroflexible, but queer, bisexual, and pansexual would all be accurate too. When I was looking, I had a strong preference for a man as a potential relationship partner, but if I had clicked with a particular woman, transman, transwoman, or couple, I would have been willing to date them and see if it could develop into a relationship. I've played with several women, including my current submissive playpartner, and a couple of MTF and FTM transfolks. Gender was more important to me than ethnicity, D/s or BDSM orientation, height, for example. It was less important than things like whether or not we had sexual and kinky chemistry, they were interesting to talk with, and enjoyed spending time with each others' friends. kinkychick, welcome to CM! http://soj.org/calendar/ has a lot of local events and resources you may find helpful. There are also a lot of poly events and groups, but I believe that most of them are more vanilla-oriented.
