Status: offline 		What is your opinion concerning enforced chastity for a male slave?  Does it make him more submissive?  More attentive?  More dedicated to pleasing his Owner?

Like the previous posters say, it can be a negative.

Never gaining pleasure from your dangly bit ever again ? ok.
A few days even weeks locked in ? can work wonders.
No playing with it when not allowed? a challenge that can be taken advantage of...*smile*

For the mindset its exciting, I enjoy using chastity in many different ways...but thats my buzz, control.

Status: offline 		I love chastity (for males) and also the devices which can accompany it.  I agree it isn't right for every relationship, but it works for Mine.   I think that taking control over  a male's ability to orgasm, and (in the right chastity device) ensuring he cannot even touch himself, gives the ultimate  power to the Female, defining the relationship as the submissive becomes dependent on Her for any sexual release. In My experience, My submissive became more 'submissive', more eager to please... more 'Mine' with each passing chaste day.  My power was amplified, his power was subdued, and our emotional bond intensified.

mistress lorelei, how long to do you like to keep him in chastity? what is the longest it can be done safely?

I would measure any submissive and what I would like with them seperately, but from R/t experience and additional research, chastity with regular milking as release, can be done safely for long periods of time.... months and months... and months.  <smiles at the thought of it>

Perhaps I can clarify...

The chastity devices I have experience using (CB2000 & CB3000), allow for regular urination, you just will need to do so seated or at close range to avoid a certain splash effect.  The fact that My submissive has to use the bathroom seated, I find adds to My control and to his mental awareness of who has that control.

For cleaning, I removed the device once each week and had him thoroughly clean and shave the area, and clean the device as well.  I watched as he showered to make sure that he couldn't give into any unexpected urges.  Once I dried him, the device was back in place where it belonged... all clean and shiny.

In between these cleanings, he often used a Q-Tip to get into the area for cleaning, and soaking in a soapy bathtub will do a nice job cleaning anything.

My experience, from the other side, confirms what Mistress Lorelie has said.  The CB-2000, which is a cage, is easier to clean than the 3000.  Both, however do need to be removed for a thorough cleaning at least once a week.  I found that twice a week is better with the 3000, at least for me.

As for duration, I was kept in a 2000 for a eight months once, with no release and no bad long term effects.

EIGHT MONTHS???   Yikes.  I love the controlled aspects to this no doubt, but 8 months?  Eight days and I'm climbing the walls.

I do hope that you are referring to the wearing of any permenant device and not the old myth that a man NEEDS release or it will damage his goods. As I have already said, that is a myth that there will be any physical damage. There is, of course, plenty of medical research that says regular sexual release is healthy for both sexes, both mentally and physically, such as immune system boosts, stress relief, and et cetera, but that's a different matter.

Sorry if I sound like a jerk here and you were talking about something else entirely.

I may have a bit of a unique perspective on this question because I'm also part of the asexual community. (Which in a nutshell is a steadily increasing group of people who overall, prefer celibacy and abstinence as a way of life in general.) And I prefer slaves/subs who are from (or can easily integrate into) that lifestyle.
Any slave of mine should be submissive, attentive, and dedicated to pleasing me regardless of, and with no correlation to, his own genitalia. 
In my experience, chastity & the devices used with it, just draw even more attention to the slave's sexuality. I prefer slaves who already have their sexuality in check. Otherwise I feel like I'm dealing with a hormonal teenager.
My time is precious and I really don't care to waste it on penis management.

A male should have some sort of regular "release" to help prevent prostate damage/disease.  My favorite kind of release is to stimulate the prostate only, through milking.  This keeps My submissive healthy, yet allows no orgasm, and he can remain in his chastity device.
