I dunno what they're doing now actually, haven't picked one up in years - traditionally, when Hef was picking the models they were predominantly extremely large breasted with narrow hips and pipestem legs - not a ghetto booty in the lot. I do see more recent models online ocasionally, and they do seem to be a bit more realistically proportioned.
Also from conversations with other illustrators, the tendency is to favor larger breasts and narrower hips requiring impossibly narrow waists. I get slammed all the time for drawing women with big hips and average chests - anything less than a double D is "too small".
