I'd be asking myself why I had such suspicions anyway that I needed to resort to such low tactics which imo is exactly what it is...low.

I don't need to ask myself, I already know. While this is a little low, I could have gone much lower. Just at times I will reach down low to catch the low balls being thrown in life. Still the Ground comes up rather fast.

whip,

What ppl here are trying to explain to you is that life is far to short to play this inane game. Confront the issue. Make a judgement based upon the conversation. This Spy vs Spy stuff stopped being funny when I was like 12

A few days ago, I decided to make my profile active and simply look or check out other profiles. I did'nt respond to any profiles. However, I made my presence known in checking things out. Made a few posts on the threads too.

Which one is it?

Ummmmm.. it's both. A few days ago I made my Whiplashsmile4 account active, which is not a fake account. So yeah it's both.

OKAY, this is my problem! I'm wanting to talk about and she's in Avoidence mode. Dude all I did was make a thread, asking the question that would pose a question from Her side of the coin. You know she how people might think or feel from that perspective, not from mine.

Yeah, so I started up a thread. Seeing how somebody that would be in her shoes might think or feel. Trust me, I'm confronting things directly. This thread is just something going on in the mean time.

Should be evident that there was a direct confrontation of something going on, by the fact I mentioned in the opening post, her and I had talked. Also mind you I've been sending a few text messages and such.

Anyways, I'm wanting to confront the issue and trying to confront the issue. It's not like I'm ignoring the issue and resorting to using only the message board.

So, you really don't have any confirmation that she actually has an alternate profile? You're just assuming because she appears to be angry with you around the same time you viewed profiles? It would be a stretch to me to jump to that conclusion. Maybe I'm reading this OP all wrong.

Nope, I don't have confirmation nor squat more to go on at the moment. However, this is the most likely thing that I'm aware of, since I'm forced to use my Mind Reading Pychic powers. which I dispise trying to do. This is fundamentally the real Issue here.

Ah ok, I see. And someone is getting upset over this? Honestly, this is kind of small in the grand scheme of things, right?

I'm not sure how involved you two are, but I'd say you let her know how you feel, not it's time to step back. I'd say if she needs a few days to sort through her emotions, then let her be. She'll either cool down and come back to you to talk or she'll keep winding herself up with unnecessary drama. Either way, the ball is in her court and her actions will determine whether or not she's worth continuing things with.

At the moment, what bothers me is not getting straight-talk answers. I not have any problem owning up or admitting to what I did. Like OMG, I set my profile to active and checked out some profiles. Made a few message board posts.

I call bullshit, OP.

You do have a problem admitting what you did- admitting your true purpose: nosing around looking for dirt. What you did is like Mom putting away Junior's clean socks so she can see what's in his sock drawer. If you/Mom find something incriminating, your true purpose is accomplished. If Mom "stumbles upon" Junior's drug stash, she can claim innocence- but she's not fooling anyone, and neither are you.

You can't expect to get get straight-talk answers, if you don't engage in straight talk yourself. Indeed- this girl probably knows you keep things from her, and so she feels she should do the same. Isn't that how you feel, too?

If I am in relationship where ALL parties involved cannot communicate openly and honestly........it's not much of a relationship.

If my SO felt they could not be open and honest with me, I would question myself and my ability to lead the relationship....and perhaps my choice of SO.

This kind of silly drama belongs in pre adult relationships.

Like I said, I don't have an issue in owning up to it. Yeah Junior, I was not really putting your socks away, well I did, but I was looking around for more. I ain't got a problem with it.

Hey guys, can we get back to the question I presented?
"My question is such, if you had a fake or alternative account on CM, and somebody you involved with checked out that profile but never responded to it. What would you be thinking? Would you fess up to it? What would you think of somebody fessing up to doing a little bush beating to see if you had a fake/alternative account?"

But then again, you'd know that if you read what he wrote rather than following your usual Modus Operandi of reading what you want to read and jumping to conclusions.

Somebody read a profile and therefore he/she is a liar and a cheat? Shit, that blows me right out of the water. I read profiles frequently. Especially of new posters but also of those who have an intriguing blurb when you sign in. Or a cool picture, I've been known to read the profile and journal entry to see if it talks about the picture. I had no idea being nosy makes me a fake.

I wouldn't create a fake or alternate account that my SO would not know about. That pretty much makes what I would be thinking, fessing up, or worrying about anyone fessing up.........a moot point.

Also, what the lovely hot pink flower above me said. I view profiles ALL THE TIME! That does not mean I am interesting in fucking them or beating them, or even in getting to know them. Quite often the profiles I view are of people I am thinking "what the hell kind of fucked up freak is this anyway???" I am curious and snoopy. Quit reading more into shit than needs to be.

Des, peeps are paranoid. Sometimes I click on people's profiles here because I like what they post and I want to read more about them and then they write to me saying things like "I saw you perved my profile, can I help you?" and I get such a laugh.

Well either they are very paranoid or they get very little visitors ;-)

If I were a dishonest person, I'm guessing I would stay that way. If I were an honest person who had in fact done nothing behind your back, I'd stay honest. In either case, I'll have to assume I'd be pissed at you, and realize that nothing I could say would improve the situation.

In short: whether I were an honest or dishonest person, I think it would be plain to me that the well is poisoned. I'd quit drinking there. So, you'd get the same result either way. So I think you can't make any reliable deduction from her current behavior, as to that which you sought to find out.

You've poisoned the well. Now you can either cap it, or drink your own poison.

Geeze la I see your still struggling with reading comprehension read post 22. In this context fake account means one that the other person doenst know about. Ya know that is what this ENTIRE thread is about! SHEESH.... She looked at a His other profile the one she has no idea who it "actually is"

Wacks ya with a clue by four. Permanent ignore now

I think your only error was in beating around the bush. Direct and to the point, in my mind, would have been better.

When people feel guilty or embarassed for doing something they are ashamed of, they often react with anger. She could have hung up on you and stopped talking to you because she was doing this, or she could have been pissed at you for being indirect and not coming out and saying what you were trying to get out of her.

Either way, it sucks. Sorry that your relationship with this person is so mixed up and full of doubt. I hope things work out.

No-*you* have it the wrong way round.

Sorry, Whiplash, but your writing is not clear. This is a step-by-step distillation of the OP. Correct me if I'm wrong.

1) The OP reactivated his account, which had previously been hidden.
2) The OP then viewed what he suspected was the fake account of this woman-if so he would have shown up in her 'who's viewing me?' list.
3)  She was then short with him in a phone call.
4) He took this as a sign of guilt and now assumes that the profile he viewed is indeed an alternate profile of hers.
5) He started this thread asking how others would feel in her shoes.

The OP has *one* profile, BadOne-something LA took the time to clarify with him. It's not her reading comprehension that is at fault, it's yours.

So maybe keep that clue-by-four to yourself. Juuust sayin.
