My Lady came back from New Orleans recently and brought me a can of Cafe Du Monde and that is even better then Community Coffee New Orleans. I always read in Civil War books how the southern troops thought chicory made bad coffee but I am coming to love that taste.

As for all of you who are latte and capucino lovers a co-worker friend of mine had banned me from those delights claiming, and unfairly I might add, that after my normal morning coffees that when I had a capucino I was so hyper-active I had a conversation with her and others walking down the hall way...........while walking around them in circles and supposedly walked on the wall too......some stories that people will make up if you have a little caffine in your system!

BTW Loved the grumby coffee mug!

Cant beat a quick Nescafe hit!

Its so wrong to use instant I actually feel a little dirty...........

did you try the single serving tea-bag types (Folgers in the one i tried)? I HATE instant coffee and was really surprised by how good this stuff was.

I did a few years ago at work but I found I had to put 3 of the lil buggers in to make Pumpy Strength coffee and kinda gave up after the carton ran out.

I occasionally make my self a cup of Mud which comes in a jar marked Turkish coffee and is made by boiling water and a few teaspoons of turkish coffee in a small pannekin (I know it as a Brikki), I then add some sugar or pref Honey and sip it black n sweet but it takes a while and a heat source.

Sad bugger that I am I used to bring a solid fuel camping stove into work to make my Cup O Mud but once again it took too damned long.

Im a bit funny with foods and drink, the flavour has to be good but strong but the kicker is that there has to be some texture to the hot beverage as well hence my thing for Mud, Milk coffee and adding honey, cream etc.

Currently Im baking sub cookies (Mafia bribes are due) and enjoying a Cup O Mud on this wintery Saturday Afternoon, And Im also wondering what a french press is?

I rarely use caffeine anymore (I'll use a little when the oxycodone makes me a bit too drowzy), but when I did drink coffee, I finally settled on Aikane Estates Kona Peaberry. Just wonderful.

It's organic.
Hand-picked.
Buying it helps support small family farms.

Fuck that corporate shit.

I used to drink alot of coffee when I commuted to work. Since I haven't drank it often. I have a good friend that drinks hot coffee all day long like water. I personally don't get especially during the summer.

Hah! I got the bestest job. I roast coffee.

5000 pounds a day, minimum.

Free coffee. Gots to sample it. My family loves me.

Also, I come home every day smelling like coffee. It's interesting if I have to stop after work somewhere, women will start sniffing me and striking up conversations with me. I'm waiting for the day when the smell of coffee gets me laid.

I started with the Cafe Du Monde then discovered I like French Market better. It is more full flavoured and richer. I order it by the case as it is MUCH less expensive than purchasing it in the grocery store here.

Coffee is life, there is no two ways about it, without it, I never fully wake up. Oh, and it must be hazelnut flavored, the brand doesn't matter. Master got me hooked on it and ever since nothing else will do. I drink it black no sugar, the better to get the full benefit of the caffeine.

Like I said, I've had some coffee - and I'm working on my second cup - so no need to worry. The real danger is before I've had that first cup, especially those who insist on being cheerful and talkative.

Thanks, but no, unless it's hazelnut flavored it's not going to happen.

I never really liked the Community coffee, tried lots of the varieties, just reminds me of the old canned columbian coffee.
I do like the Cafe Du Monde. Looks like I need to try the French Market.
