Whilst I do like the smell of coffee.....I don't like coffee itself, so I don't drink it...therefore any coffee left in my kitchen is doomed to get very old indeed

Black, dark roast, in a french press. Flavored coffee to me is horrible. No cream, sugar, etc. My ex used to drink hazelnut, amaretto, etc., with cream and sugar. It was like dessert in a glass.  .

Aynne88, I always get a giggle out of men who need their coffee or drinks all flavoured.

I like my coffee like I like my scotch or vodka. Strong, pure and un-fluffed-up!

Me too LadyA :) I find nothing as unsexy as a virile looking man holding a blue/pink/green cocktail in his manly hands. Now the man seductively sipping the rocks glass with a few fingers of an aged scotch...yes. If he has a cigar, even better.

Flavored sweet coffee, well that is just blasphemous. .

I have two hazelnut trees (along with various walnut, almond, heartnut, chestnut and pecan trees). Getting the fruits before the squirrels is the key.

I almost got a dwarf coffee tree to try, but decided I had my hands full already with expanding the orchard. Maybe next year.

Perhaps even more than you think. My sub side dies a bit more each day. I think switch might be in order, except to me that seems like being a registered "independent."  We'll see, but last night I think I annihilated the last vestiges of "sub" that were hanging onto my psyche. I'll keep you posted.. Hey at least the virile scotch sipping man finds it nothing to have a breakdown over. Thank god. I'll keep him.

2 to 3 cups in the morning for me. Many here know I am the supplier of fine coffee to my friends. I get it free from my ex. His company distributes coffee and beverges locally. I Like Intelligencia which is roasted in chicago and Lavazza, which is an italian coffee. You can get these brands at www.getcaffeine.com

Its actually www.needcaffeine.com
My mistake.

I worked in local coffee shops for years, so I know way too much about the stuff and I've gotten spoiled :)
Usually I'll drink tea in the morning because I'm so picky about my coffee.
I prefer a dark roast or an americano (if the shots have a good layer of crema), strong and black, no sugar but I like something sweet to eat with it. Every now and then I like a cappuccino, and I went so far as to get my own little espresso machine because I know I'm picky and the foam at my local coffee shops is usually...disappointing. I like my caps super-dry, as in arid - meaning good thick foam that you can turn upside down in a cup before you add the espresso and the foam will not move.
The best coffee I ever had....an ex has family in Puerto Rico and their neighbors grow coffee, so after hearing me complain about sub-par caffeine fixes too often he bought a pound of home-grown and roasted beans from the neighbors and brought it back for me. It was lighter than I prefer but it was the smoothest cup of coffee I've ever tasted, that stuff was amazing. Unfortunately we broke up not too long after, and I think I went into withdrawals having to go back to 'regular' beans...

Okay this is for Aynne88 and LadyAngelika, besides morning coffee on a really good meal or after intense play, I LOVE a good cigar, a glass of cognac or brandy, and a good cup of coffee to relax. All so proper and Victorian at times. Or would that be 1950's

Also if you go to www.burmancoffee.com you can bye green coffee beans from around the world, your own coffee bean roaster, and grinder. Use to love coming up with my own blends.

Someone treated me to a Rémy Martin XO last night. And yes, it was following an exquisite meal and a single shot espresso. I agree, it is an excellent finishing touch.

See in Montreal we have so many top notch roasting houses that I leave it to the experts.

Waaaaaaaay too much work! I'm far too lazy to go to all that trouble for a cup of coffee, not to mention the expense.

Especially since you cover up the really good coffee taste with hazelnut ;-) (This might never get old!)

my fav part of the morning is opening my bedroom door and smelling the coffee that just got done brewing.  it makes 430 am much more pleasant.

i got hooked on coffee in the army, so i like it strong.  i buy folgers when it is on sale, or kroger brand.  never had starbucks or any of the fancy kinds.

just give me a good strong cup of coffee, sweet and light, and i am a much happier person.

ahhhhhh...
