Status: offline 		Are they harmless? I think they are but I also heard they're fragile if you mis handle them or  drop them or jolt them they can die

Status: offline 		Harmless? no they have a nasty very painful bite, but not fateful, and if handled gently and slowly they will not bite, they only do so if they think the bitee is food (has to be small) or if they are threatened. As to how it would feel....wonderfully creepy I would think, they don't scurry, they are slow.

Status: offline 		Yeah, that's about right.  I wouldn't fuck around with them if you don't know what you're doing.  And don't forget that their bite could prompt an allergic reaction.

Tarantulas are venomous.  Luckily they are, mostly, non-aggressive unless threatened (although my daughter had an experience with a female South American tarantula named Pink Toes who would rear every time a hand went into her terrarium - this is a threat for those who don't know).  As far as how they feel... it's not unpleasant, although I've only had one walking on my hand and arm. 
 
I'd much rather have a snake on me than an 8-legged mouse.

Status: offline 		They are venemous, as it has already been stated, though not as deadly as some believe them to be unless you have a reaction to the bite. The hairs on a tarantula are extremely sensitive, so care is needed when handling them. With that said, my boyfriend ONE time decided to help me get over my fear of spiders by placing a tarantula on my stomach. While the experience was nerve racking and very fear related, the sensation that was produced was not too bad. It kind of tickled.

Feleline, before you want to make the weeeenie comment about people fearing things, perhaps you would like to disclose the thing/s you fear so much, they make you shit your pants or piss yourself so we can have a laugh at, or make mocking comments about you……..

Status: offline 		I think tarantulas are really cool. I see them when I go to the petshop.
Maybe I will get one someday, I had a great time owning anoles(lizards). 
I heard they usually don't bite unless they think their life is in danger.
I've heard it is close to a bee sting painwise.
I would love to feel one walking on my nude body.

Status: offline 		Aww Iron bear I was joking about the weenie comment. I used to be afraid of the spiders in our tub haha I'd make my dad drown them down the drain.

I watched candy man as a kid and after that I was afraid of the toilet, and I wached it as a kid and then I was afraid of being killed by something in our drain

Some people can "grow out of" such fears.. For some the fear is so deep rooted that it can cause a fatal heart attack.. Some have had the fear from child hood and others due to bad experiences..... Mine was experiences which still have me either waking at night sweating or screaming. I will never mock or joke about another's fears untill I know the whole story end even then I'll leave that alone....
