Oh man, I'd forgotten how annoying it is to have a land line. I have to have mine, because it is part of my alarm system, and I answer it because sometimes my boys callme on that line. BUT, most of the time the calls I get are cold calls from Telemarketers. UGH! Very annoying. Although I try to be polite to them, since they are just trying to make a living like anyone else. Anyway, most of my working career I worked from 7 am - 7pm, 7 days a week, when I wasn't working 7pm until 7 am. Scheduling meals definitely wasn't done to satisfy anyone's 'expectation' of the right time to eat dinner. It was done to meet the family's needs and work around everyone's scehdules. When I wasn't working, there was always football, soccer, baseball, church or boyscout meetings to schedule around. Not everyone has a 9 to 5 job, or are home at 'standard' times to eat dinner by 5 every night. I'm surprised YOU don't realize this, Kevin. After all, YOU are at work experience at 7:30 pm. Definitely not 9 to 5 hours.
