We have a river valley that meanders thru our city running east-west, with creeks running north-south.  Our most common wildlife is deer that have come up and found themselves stuck in traffic.

Our big wildlife right now is a peregrine falcon who is nesting ontop of one of our phone towers.  She has layed 3 pretty pink eggs and is incubating them now.  They have put a webcam in her nesting box and have a countdown running to hatching day.  I think we have about 16-17 days left.  If you are interested - here is the link.

oh yeah...I forgot the falcons!

I live a mile from a falcon refuge. They perch on my deck in the backyard and I love watching them from the window just sitting there while I wash the dishes.

Heh - I had some of my birds by the patio door, and after sundown, there was a loud thump on the glass door. An owl had decided he wanted budgie burger for dinner, and didn't know about the glass.

Owls in the middle of a city - how cool is that?

Foxes, gray and red. Rabbits, skunks - used to have one hibernate under the porch steps, chipmunks, squirrels - red and gray but not a  black, field mice, vole, tortoises, vultures, red tailed hawks and so on.

And a bear in the center of town, 20 miles away yesterday attracted a crowd of 100 watching it be trapped and removed. http://www.recordonline.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20100520/NEWS/100529979/-1/NEWS
