And how would one tell is one is that way oneself?

(I had gender identity issues as a child and am working on working through them at this point in time in the usual way that I work through my issues, which is by writing science fiction.)

It's pretty simple, I think. It's all of the things in-between male and female.  When it comes to self-identity, Boy and girl are never so simple.  However you do define them, most people are only majority one and a bit less of the other, never 100%.

If you have to ask, though, you probably are in one of the grey areas.

Hi VioletGray, thanks for the reply. Yeah, I guess I am a little "fluid" at that. (When I was a little girl, when I dreamed at night, my dream self was invariably male. I shelved those issues for years because I dealt with rapid weight gain caused by a side effect of a medicine in my twenties by identifying with goddess figures, but now I've lost the weight and find I have my old issues back again now that I no longer resemble the Goddess of Willendorf whose picture is on the bumper of my pickup truck.)

Not to be hung up on labels, but I just encountered these terms "gender fluid" and "genderqueer" and they resonate a bit with me, so I'm trying to find out more.

Here on collarme, it's not very remarkable for a woman to desire to screw men in the bum with a strapon, that's one of the least kinky things on here, but I also dream of having a penis quite apart from any desire to use it for anything with anyone. But I have no desire to be an actual man, I like being a woman now, I like having boobs, I like being able to dress up pretty (even if I don't do so very often, and am usually to be found in a football jersy). So is that gender fluid or is that just having a kink for being an active dominant partner, which I already knew about myself?

No, wanting to be a male or have male sexual characteristics is not typical of female dominants. Sounds more fluid than genderqueer to me.

Thanks Des. Yeah, I think I am a little fluid.
