Hi all!

First of all, I have google'd high and low and cannot find any references to cleaning yourself while wearing a chastity device. There's all the information in the world about cleaning the device but nothing about your own penis while you're wearing it. Im just worried as I know smgma doesnt do any harm but im just afraid it might start smelling and Im bit of a clean freak. (When im not getting messy anyway ;)

So any links, hints or tips would be appreciated!

Ok, I claim no knowledge but am very interested in any answers that come in, as I am interested in chastity devices but have refrained from considering them seriously for just this reason..

Reality VS. Fantasy is the answer.

Cleaning should allow for the soap and skin contact and for complete drying to retard chaffing and rashes.

Metal Chastity Devices or anything that is metal used to maintain a chastity device should not be worn in the shower.

If you cannot keep it Oiled or Dry it should not be worn for more than 48 hours as beyond that point serious damage can be done. Yes Yes Yes I know there are people here who will tell you they wore their chastity device for a Month or a Year and I always want them to prove it because once you have ACTUALLY been in one within the first 24 hours you become aware of how moist the area is. If you move around and do daily duties within the first 36 hours you are chaffing SERIOUSLY and if the device is metal and has any rough edge at all you could already be bleeding.

Leather Chastity Underwear based Chastity devices give you the longest amount of time being worn before issues arrise but over time the get NASTY and most people don't know how to clean leather properly and some stained leathers CAN'T be cleaned properly because they were never fully treated.

In the end Most Chastity devices are only good for a matter of HOURS. While being sexuall teased and being denied sexual gratification. Long Term Chastity devices are Mythic at best and the Historic ones were not worn at all times only when the Maiden whose Virtue was being protected would be entertaining men in which any amout of time would be spent out of view of her lady in waiting.

So in the end you can try to live in the Fantasy and that is fine just know that the longer you play with the thing on the more damage and eventual more recoup time you will have to spend.

In short Long Distance Chastity is Futile as it just usually isn't safe and no one should lock themselves into something that they literally can't get off within an hour.

Female Chastity Devices are MUCH easier to regulate than Male as more offten then not they are made of Leather and Cloth and males Chastity Devises are made of Steel or Surgical Grade Metals or alloys.

Seriously ask yourself how you would manage if you did wash yourself but then could not dry the area?

Seriously, AQuietSimpleMan, quoted for truth.

I thought kinda along those lines too. It seemed too good to be true, thank you for the concise info. Makes it a lot easier on me deciding whether or not to shell out the cash for one now.

While we're on the subject, can anyone suggest an all around good first chastity device? I dont want to break the bank and decide I dont like it.

There are plenty of ways to deal wih long term chastity and still stay clean and healthy. Where there is a will there is a way.

What type of chastity? Some are easier than others to keep clean in between showers. I've worn several types for many years and have found ways to stay clean and without odors. In my experience, a piercing is the get the security that you find exciting balanced with the practical need to live an otherwise normal life. The design of chastity devices has improved by leaps and bounds since the mid 90's when Altarboy (tpe . com) first posted his site with info and stories. I can't imagine trying to wear a Tollyboy or Gothels at this point, although they used to the best choice for real confinement.

I am sitting in a Chastity Steel as I type which I find very comfortable to wear. I use a squeeze bulb from the pharmacy store to squirt water in after I pee while sitting on the toilet. There is no butt strap so no problems cleaning it. I don't wear this belt more than a few days at a time because the lump is too big for going to work at the office. To protect against chaffing in the tube, I cut a silicone ring that covers the perimeter of the glans. In the shower, I let soapy water flush through and rinse by pulling the belt forward so the stream runs down inside.

My favorite for long term wear is custom made 'tube' style chastity that locks to a CBR so no ball capture ring is needed like the CB-X000 series. This is totally easy to wear and keep clean because it is not a solid tube and is not so tight that I can't wipe soap and rinse during a shower. The head is exposed so there is no mess during peeing. This can be worn as many weeks as required. The only cleaning issue with this is the build up of soap scum if you don't rinse it all out during showers. Or if you get beach sand in the lock! (that's a different story)

I currently wear a "Locked In Steel" belt for over a year and a half for most of the time. The longest I've been locked up continuously was 9 1/2 weeks and I had no problem keeping clean. The trick is to have a hand held shower head to really get water up in there. I know many people who have stayed locked up even longer without any removal.
