Real0ne -> Reid - Taxes in the US are ""VOLUNTARY"! (5/23/2010 1:40:24 AM)

Reid explains how taxes in the United States are VOLUNTARY!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H6q0slMhDw8

If they were not voluntary then that would be servitude or slavery and thats unlawful right?

Feudalism and paying the state (the kings "kingdom"), tithes and feof.

Really simple stuff right?

So since Ried has confirmed that we are not living in slavery or under feudalism then how is it that no one here seems to know how to UNVOLUNTEER?

ANOTHER CASE OF DOUBLE DRIBBLE THINK?

Denial of reality maybe?

What are the underlying components of that disease?

Hey what can I say?  Reid claims taxes are voluntary but you will get fined and thrown in jail if you dont pay them.

I just want some of these people out here to explain to me how come people have to pay fines and get thrown in jail and all that.

I mean if its voluntary then I am sure everyone who feels their taxes are to high or whatever should be able to just click on the UNSUBSCRIBE button and no longer pay taxes.

Now I feel that is a very legitimate position when a government agent comes out here and in the open public assures us they are voluntary.

Ok so tell us how to net 150k/year, own 5 houses and unvolunteer.

This cant be that hard.

It comes down to one of 2 things the way I see it.  Either we are living under slavery of feudalism or there has to be an unsubscribe button somewhere.

I think the Sherry Jackson is still in Sol confinement.     She is the example of course.

Tell that to Wesley Snipes!!  Real0ne, others have said it, and I kept believing you may have credibility.  I am finally jumping aboard with the rest of the others.  I've realized you live in one giant fantasy land and you refuse to come out of it.

Of course taxes are voluntary - the decision on whether to pay them and what for (or not) is taken according to the majority view in the several elections you enjoy from time to time.

Any candidate can put himself forward on a platform to abolish any or all forms of taxation and the electorate will take a view as to whether that is something they should like or whether they prefer to have public services and investment in infrastructure etc. If the candidate receives such a mandate then, according to his capacities, he may implement his promise.

Whether you like it or not this is how it works and its called democracy - in the case of the US it is a democracy tempered by the Constitution as to what may and may not be done in the name of the majority. As you may realise from this your desire to evade tax comes down to a few options only, none of which should be attempted without supervision and none of which concern the vast majority of the stuff you post here on that subject.

Learn the legal meaning of voluntary in regards to tax collection.

DCWoody -> RE: Reid - Taxes in the US are ""VOLUNTARY"! (5/23/2010 9:00:41 AM)

It has come to my attention that there are a few US states where almost all state income comes from voluntary taxes (ie road tolls, alcohol duty, property rental). Mebe ya should consider moving to one of them and starting up/joining secession movement....especially considering they're the states that send much more in federal taxes than they get back....

Voluntary in this case is the opposite of distraint.

ok so you agree then that it is not voluntary and it is really slavery?

quote:

DISTRAIN
distrain,vb.1. To force (a person, usu. a tenant), by the seizure and detention of personal property, to perform an obligation (such as paying overdue rent). [Cases: Landlord and Tenant 270. C.J.S. Landlord and Tenant §§ 681, 685–696, 701–711.]

2. To seize (goods) by distress, a legal remedy entitling the rightful owner to recover property wrongfully taken. — Also spelled
distrein. — distraint,n.

DISTRAINEE
distrainee. One who is, or whose property is, distrained.

DCWoody -> RE: Reid - Taxes in the US are ""VOLUNTARY"! (5/23/2010 4:33:38 PM)

Oh for fucks sake.....voluntary used in that specific way merely means not forced....in 99.9% of cases people don't get taken to court, jailed, etc etc...to get their taxes, they just hand them over....it does NOT mean 'optional'.

It is not slavery according to anyone who doesn't need to concentrate quite hard to remember to keep breathing.

What we have here is a simple misunderstanding of the meaning of voluntary in this case.....it's that most volunteer to pay them as opposed to being forced, not that most volunteer to pay them as opposed to not paying them. There is some confusion among the not that bright because there are at least another 2 ways the word voluntary with regards to taxation is used, but tl;dr - voluntary =/= optional, and taxes=/=slavery and you'd have to be reaaaaally droolingly wacko to think other than the 2nd =/=.

I would repeat my earlier suggestion though, you don't like paying non-optional taxes, move somewhere that doesn't have them (much).
