Women should be allowed to vote, men should be allowed to vote, voting should be mandatory, not optional, and the voting age should be lowered to 16. There you pretty much have my position on most issues surrounding the vote.

These facts and the fact that most (children of) immigrants do not vote and there are less working class voters tell that overall votes are controlled and/or influenced. I did not say all of us vote the way our parents do so you not voting the same as (one of) your parents does not undermine what I say. The Netherlands are known for their pillarisation which makes it easier to notice voting structures: certain communities/municipals vote the same party for decades.
Why should voting be mandatory, according to you?
