I have been unable to log onto my facebook account since Friday - I keep getting a message that the site is down for maintenance for a few hours.

Is anyone else experiencing this problem?  Or did MOD XI move over there and ban me???????

Yes, I got the same message. I heard that their servers were under attack my muslims. No shit. They all started forwarding code to each other for a continued attack. I imagine, facebook is figuring out how to defeat them.

I gave up using Facebook when I heard all those horror stories about people from your past being able to contact you.

I have had no problem logging into Facebook.

I've been able to log onto FB fine but I have had problems with getting some things to work after I log in.

I'm terrified of Facebook. Opened and closed my account, or so I thought. I was still getting info on my friends at my main email account.  Not going back anytime soon. A little paranoia can be a good thing. LOL

I don't do facebook really...never understood the nonsense about it and never will....I have one with a fake name which means that I am able to see a friends pictures if someone insists me to show them to me...however, to protect my privacy I use a different name which is only known to current friends due to them being aware about it due to the link to my email address..but on a personal level...I couldn't care less about facebook...nice idea as such, but not good in todays society...just my .2...

Go into your brower options and delete your cookies. Sometimes these hang on and don't allow access.
Once deleted, restart your brower and chances are you will have access to your Facbook account.
