I am sitting here listening to a seriously good Grateful dead album (Truckin on up to Buffalo) and it made me think....what albums do you all consider just fucking top drawer, not specific songs but entire albums that you listen to in their entirety again and again and they never go stale? Here's a short list of mine. 801 ~ 801 Live Laurie Anderson ~ Home of the Brave The Band ~ Music from Big Pink, Rock of Ages Be Good Tanyas ~ Chinatown Bob Dylan & The Band ~ Before the Flood David Bowie ~ Heroes Byrne & Eno ~ My Life in the Bush of Ghosts Captain Beefheart ~ Trout Mask Replica Tracy Chapman ~ Tracy Chapman The Clash ~ London Calling Billy Bragg ~ The Internationale Leonard Cohen ~ Field Commander Cohen (well all of them actually, but if I had to pick one) Cowboy Junkies ~ The Caution Horses Bob Dylan ~ Desire Steve Earle ~ Copperhead Road, Shut Up and Die Like an Aviator Brian Eno ~ Here Come the Warm Jets Marianne Faithful ~ Broken English Flogging Molly ~ Alive Behind the Green Door Grateful Dead ~ Europe 72, Reckoning, Uncle John's Band, & of course Truckin Up to Bufallo Jethro Tull ~ Minstrel in the Gallery Jim Carroll Band ~ Catholic Boy King Crimson ~ Lark's Tongue in Aspic Alanis Morissette ~ Jagged Little Pill Nash the Slash ~ Blind Windows Tom Petty ~ Wildflowers Pink Floyd ~ Ummagumma, Dark Side of the Moon, The Wall The Pogues ~ Rum Sodomy & the Lash Rolling Stones ~ Exile on Main Street, Beggar's Banquet Paul Simon ~ Graceland Talking Heads ~ Fear of Music Richard Thompson ~ An Acoustic Evening Velvet Underground & Nico Waterboys ~ Fisherman's Blues Willie Nelson ~ Stardust Roger Waters ~ Pros & Cons of Hitchhiking I am sure I have left some out, but that will do for now
