I, for one, enjoy the taste of blood, preferably either draw in a fight or during a scene that I trust someone completely and utterly with my life.

Do any other folks around here enjoy the taste of blood, or even just blood play? I very, very rarely run into anyone that actually enjoys this type of play, so I'm always feeling like a bit of an oddball when I try talking about this at all. It's one of the few ways that I think I can submit to someone, through that much trust, because the only place I won't allow blood to be drawn is face and genitals.

Just curious how others think on this form of extreme play.

Another strange post for the 'switches' forum (though not as strange as the last one). While I suspect there are switches who like blood play, why not post this in the general forum as well? and get everyone's opinion ... be they switch, Top, bottom, what have you.

I used to raise a beer or five with a fellow who ID'd as Gorean. He insisted no punishment was complete or meaningful without the flow of blood. Perhaps you should go ask them.

I have partaken in the act of blood play and have quite liked it.

A female Dom pricked me several times and then did a cupping over them. I was turned on by watching my blood pool and dry on my breast as well as the sensation that it caused.

I never thought I was one to be into the whole needle play scene, but you never know until you try.

Needle/blood play is awesome. Though, I prefer it to be drawn from me not me drawing it. The pain is a rush, but so it the site of the blood and yes, the taste.

About a year ago I went and saw someone get pierced with 60 needles to her chest. It was her 60th birthday!

Each needle had different colored feathers glued to the ends. It was an awesome sight to behold.

I love blood-play very much. Although..I like the blood to be drawn from me..I don't like seeing other peoples blood. I love the trust that goes with allowing someone to cut you...and what not. It's very yummy. ^_^

We both LOVE the taste of blood, and engage in blood play with each other just for fun and the taste. We've never ingested the blood of anyone else for play, but have "played in it" with gloved hands on others. We follow universal precautions and still have a great time with it. When needles come into the picture, it makes it even better. Don't feel like The Lone Ranger. For every kink, there's at least one person who's into it.

I wouldn't call my desires regarding blood "play," really. And though I know that for others, it's about the sharp, pointy objects, for me, it's about the significance of the blood, the significance of blood from a special one, the intense bond in sharing it, and the blood.

Though this may change at some point in the future, or in some specific relationship, I consider this more of a ritual practice or an intense one, done only rarely and with someone very special.

There are health considerations to be acknowledged, of course.

I very much enjoy blood play, although I do not consume it. I, like you, know very few people who enjoy blood play, though I have met some that are excited when I draw blood from them accidently during play.

My particular favorite forms come in cutting and needle play, though I also enjoy blood drawing as a result of rough sex (thus, blood from the genitalia) and severe scratching that leads to bleeding.

I enjoy it greatly, very intensly...but due to the risks it's something I almost never do. I also enjoy doing energy rituals and such with my menstrual blood.

Yep we do it and it is a rush to cut her skin and see the blood flow down her back
we are not into Vampirism but I have consumed it before it is a rush I like finger painting

I really enjoy blood play. This is an area of play that I want to be pushed in and my Lord will make the decision if that will happen or not. I have some pretty intense desires to see my blood covering my body. In our last play he used a metal BBQ brush and beat me on the ass and back with it. It caused hundreds of little pinpricks that seeped blood; add a little alcohol to the mix and I was feeling good.

Blood play became an extension of knife play (although i hate the word play, just going along with that for the sake of htis thread). Scraping evolved to drawing blood, which was then fed to me off the knife. Highly intense.

Needles I like, but not too much blood. Cutting I have stayed away from mainly because I'm a wimp - partly because I do not want anything that may scar permenantly... For me with the needles it is not the blood tht I like but the sensation...

Blood play? I can somewhat understand why people like it, but I don't think I could handle it. I'm anemic though so I try to keep all the blood I can.

My husband and I do a lot of blood play, and he is very into the taste of blood. He's the only guy I've ever been with who earns his "red wings" over and over again each month:-)
