NBC's coverage included no one who either liked the new law or who felt it didn’t go far enough, even though polls show that most Americans either favor the new law or fault it for failing to include a single-payer system or some other form of “public option.”

Why am I not surprised. I read the Wash., Post and yes, they have moved right. They are a for profit newspaper whose subscribers are leaving in droves and I only continue with them is because I pay for Sun, only and still get it everyday.

As for the TV media etc., they too are following Murdochs lead...go along or get fired. Fox even hires their own obscure liberals that nobody's heard of who are to end up agreeing with the right.

Nah, Brian's shit isn't that lame.

flcouple2009 -> RE: America's Lying Right-Wing Media: The World According to Brian Williams (5/25/2010 6:27:37 AM)

It's the same way that the elephant was shocked when the polls flipped on them right after the Health Care Bill was passed.

They are counting the people who are against it and the people who would like to repeal it and create a single payer system in the same numbers.

If you make $600 worth of posts after, 1-1-12, I need your Tax ID number- so as to send you a 1099.

I'm sorry, I have to take any opinion from an NBC anchor with a heavy dose of salt.

quote:

Indeed, Immelt and Zucker are sacrificing credible, high-standard journalism for everything pro Obama and a tsunami of venomous liberalism that forms the nexus of lunatic fringe, vitriolic malice and demonization of anyone unwilling to bow to Obama or subscribe to radical dogma.Immelt and Zucker have personally supervised the coverage (although Immelt denies it) and upbraided anyone in the NBC franchise who so much as sneezes when reporting on Obama. The jack-booted discipline is so oppressive, in fact that when CNBC financial commentators began to cast some doubt on the wisdom of Obama’s spending spree, Immelt and Zucker both rushed to CNBC to “reorient” them, according to Bill O'Reilly on the O'Reilly Factor.

Not Fox news source...

It's no wonder Obama asks Mr Williams for advice at the Correspondents dinner[8|]

thornhappy -> RE: America's Lying Right-Wing Media: The World According to Brian Williams (5/25/2010 5:34:24 PM)

It's a personal quirk of mine that anyone who writes a screed, or in an reactionary mode, is promptly disregarded no matter what side of the aisle they're from.  And you're taking O'Reilly's word for this?

The whole article reads like something straight from Fox (Beck or O'Reilly in particular).  Maybe even Limbaugh.  NBC's owned by GE; they'll take up with whomever offers the best benefit to GE.

Dayum.

Not Fox news source...

Source is owned by Philip Anschutz. Anschutz is significantly less credible than Rupert.

The author of the opinion column is some random right winger from Connecticut. The column contains no facts but lots of smears and innuendos.

But you haven't provided a source, I guess we'll just have to take your word for it too[8|]

OK you showed us that Anshultz owns the website, but not why he's not credible, nor have you proven the author is some "random right winger" typing nothing but lies and innuendos.

If the column was all lies and innuendo, why hasn't he been sued for slander?

It is virtually impossible for a 'public figure' to win a defamation lawsuit in the US. The standard of proof requires mind reading.
