Let's say that I would like to upload a picture of myself on my profile. However, I am not sure how wise this is. I would maybe suffer very bad consequences and social rejection if any of my vanilla friends saw my photo on a kink oriented site. My question is more theoretical than practical. I don't intend to upload any pictures of myself yet. However, I am interested in the mere possibility of doing this and the risks involved.

Many upload pictures of themselves without showing facial features. Other options can be masks, hats, sunglasses, ect. If you believe your professional life would be at risk, then dont do it. Its not worth the costs.

Ok, in order for them to RECOGNIZE you, they'd have to register themselves. What does that say about them? Better yet, do you think that what you're doing here is remotely shameful?

Actually you can browse and view profiles without registering at all.

Yeah. Bottom line, you seem to assign yourself and awful lot of importance in other people's lives. I sincerely doubt that you're all that significant enough for them to hunt you down and try to look for your face on a kink site.

Regina? While i believe you were not responding to me, your posts says you were. There is a reply feature so you can reply to the person you are addressing. It helps to aleviate any misunderstandings as to who you are directing your comments,

VC, I find your profile photo very stylish and beautiful, yet you managed to make it hard for people to recognize you. Maybe I'll do something similar about my photo when I decide to upload it.

For you, I'm afraid posting a pic of yourself would only lead to sweaty palms, sleepless nights, and sudden fitful midday panic attacks in which you become convinced you're going to go the way of Josef K.
